Was quoted 3500. for a geologic soils testing. 3 years later they quoted me 6500. for almost the same scope of work. It took the guys 4 hours in the field to do the sampling work and probably a couple of hours in the lab. Unfortunately i had signed a contract and decided to pay the ransom rather than get in a prolonged legal dispute. The results were exactly what i already knew that there was rock 4 feet under the ground. Only now i have pages of boilerplate. Government, county, permits, consultants, all pat each others back to take your money and waste it.

Dealing with foundation issues had been super stressful, especially since the vast majority of contractors and engineers have been slow to respond. PJC, on the other hand, came out promptly to test our soil to determine why our house was shifting. They were professional, thorough and provided a lengthy report in a short time. We consulted with them several times after at no additional cost and got a review letter to pull permits super quickly even though they were swamped. They are nice, knowledgeable people. Highly recommend!
