As businesses on Long Island begin to re-open and we are once again able to provide public services to our community, we'd like you to know that we are working hard in accordance with state mandates to protect those that we serve, our community and our staff. Our facilities have been modified to adhere to the directives set forth by our health care professionals to mitigate potential spread and exposure.

If you plan to attend a service at one of our facilities, please be aware that a face covering will be required and for your protection and the safety of those around you. If you are sick or symptomatic, please stay home and consider offering your condolences here on our website. The safety of our community and our staff is our top priority.
Services
Like so many businesses dating back to the 19th Century, the funeral home has a long and storied history. Established in 1862, the home was an adjunct business of the S.B. Horton Furniture Company. This was, at the time, a common occurrence as furniture companies had the means to create and upholster burial coffins, so furniture companies would take advantage of this capability and often became hybridized businesses.
Who will speak for you when you're no longer there? Moreover, do you want this responsibility to weigh upon your loved ones during a difficult time? Pre-Planning allows you the opportunity to make these decisions beforehand, and in a clear-headed manner. Plus, your family can share in these decisions with you, and with proper planning, the financial burden can easily be mitigated over time.
Travel east on the Long Island Expressway to Exit 71. Continue to the end of the exit ramp and turn left at the stop sign. Travel north on Edwards Avenue to the 2nd traffic light (approximately 3.4 miles) and turn right onto Sound Avenue (aka the North Road). You will travel approximately 25 miles into Greenport.
Having served thousands of families during the years we've been in business, we realize how difficult it is for people after the loss of a loved one. We understand that planning a funeral involves making difficult decisions at a very emotional and highly charged time. We also understand that a funeral service doesn't have to cost a fortune.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

Barbara and Doug are terrific people who handled everything for my family at a very difficult time for us. Their's is obviously a service industry, but they truly go above and beyond.
