Like so many businesses dating back to the 19th Century, the funeral home has a long and storied history. Established in 1862, the home was an adjunct business of the S.B. Horton Furniture Company. This was, at the time, a common occurrence as furniture companies had the means to create and upholster burial coffins, so furniture companies would take advantage of this capability and often became hybridized businesses.

Travel east on the Long Island Expressway to Exit 71. Continue to the end of the exit ramp and turn left at the stop sign. The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
