Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB) represents the highest attainable credential within the massage therapy and bodywork profession. Board Certification is an advanced credential separate from entry-level massage therapy state licensure. As Board Certification is voluntary, its achievement represents the highest level of commitment to clients and to the advancement of the massage therapy and bodywork profession.

Board Certificants must meet higher standards of education, possess a higher level of critical thinking skills, and pass a rigorous exam. The exam requires candidates to apply assessment skills, orthopedic knowledge, applied science skills (such as pathology, pharmacology, and more), and more to real-life scenarios in an effort to develop treatment plans that achieve positive results.

Massage therapy will be according to your tolerance. You may undress according to your comfort level. You may also leave your clothing on if you prefer, however kindly use cotton materials when choosing to do so. If you are coming for the first time, please come in at least 5 minutes earlier to fill out one page of medical history.
A lot of the scientific research on massage therapy is preliminary or conflicting, but much of the evidence points toward beneficial effects on pain and other symptoms associated with a number of different conditions. Much of the evidence suggests that these effects are short term and that people need to keep getting massages for the benefits to continue.

I was nervous to have my first massage. I had specific areas that were causing me discomfort and was unsure what to expect. She alleviated my fears and took time to listen to all the problem I experience. She took great care an focused on the areas causing me the most discomfort. It was an awesome experience and would recommend ROHA to anyone.

Nothing short of miraculous. A longstanding hip problem flared up. Managed to get an appointment at short notice, and after one session the pain was gone. I will be visiting once a month. Highly recommended.
