North Haven is a thriving year-round island community known for its beautiful farm land and stunning natural beauty. The year-round population is about 325 and consists of a diverse group of professionals and retirees. In the summer our population swells to 1100+. The ferry from Rockland takes about 60 minutes and brings you to the southern side of the island into the Fox Islands Thorofare--the cruising waters between Vinalhaven and North Haven.
Vinalhaven is Maine's largest year-round island community and is known for its striking natural beauty and thriving lobster fleet. The year-round population is about 1200 and consists of a diverse group of professionals and retirees. In the summer our population swells to 2500+. The ferry from Rockland takes about 75 minutes and brings you to the southern tip of Vinalhaven into Carver's Harbor--one of Maine's most picturesque working harbors.

I feel my creative juices flow the minute I walk into the front room. The way the light fills that room! It'd be hard not to feel inspired. Donnie has always wanted to write and I am certain this tranquil spot is where his dream may take form.
