It is not easy to reach out to someone for help or to admit that you or someone you love may not be in a good place mentally or physically. We understand and empathize with this and we are humbled by those who have entrusted us with their most vulnerable thoughts and feelings. The client-therapist relationship is a critical piece in the therapeutic process.
Chester Nez is named after the WWII veteran, Chester Nez, who was the last original Navajo code talker who served in the United States Marine Corps during the war. He is a fox red Labrador Retriever who was trained at Hero Dogs Inc., a non-profit organization that raises and trains dogs to work with veterans as a service dog.

We are very excited about this new option because it means no waiting and travel time, and you won't have to take time off work or other priorities. Plus, it's 100% HIPAA compliant and secure.
We are an "in-network" provider with several commercial insurance companies. If we are not in your network, we would be more than willing to submit a claim on your behalf. It is the client's responsibility to pay for any treatment that is not covered by insurance. We are an "in-network" provider for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Beacon Health Options and Magellan Health.
It is our mission to grow SWCC to provide effective and empathetic care to individuals and families in Baltimore, Howard, Fredrick, Montgomery and Carroll counties in Maryland as well as surrounding states. We are looking for LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists and other wellness clinicians who are interested in joining us to serve our community.
