Mike's father started teaching him about construction and roofing at a young age. By age ten, Mike was fetching tools and soaking up all the building knowledge and advice his father gave him. Because of this, Mike learned the ins and outs of home construction, and was exposed to every detail of home building from start to finish.
Nester Martinez specialized in roofing, so Mike has completed thousands of roofing projects over multiple decades with his father. Mike opened his first business, NM Custom Home Design, when he was still in College, and designed multi-million dollar homes for various contractors in the Albuquerque area.
