Since 1994 the La Mariposa Resort has been Tucson's premier wedding and special event venue. Established and operated by Francesca and Steve Brennan La Mariposa Resort is a family oriented 40 acre desert oasis that is surrounded by giant trees, ponds and manicured lawns. It is widely known as a stunning wedding and special events venue (both outside and inside).
Are you looking for a unique place for your special day? Then La Mariposa Resort is the place for you. Situated in the Tanque Verde Valley on the East side of the city, La Mariposa has a beautiful backdrop of the Catalina and Rincon mountains. The beautiful sprawling lawn, ringed by tall trees and a sparkling pond, make a great outdoor reception site.
There will be additional charge for tents, and or any special requested linens, and equipment. Time Limit: 4 hour of rental of area for reception, and 5 hours rental for ceremony and reception. Extra time will be charged at $350 an hour. Noon access to set-up the room for evening events is not part for the allotted time.
We proudly offer a variety of styles and will create a wedding cake of your dreams. Red Velvet A unique light chocolate complimented with our French butter cream offers a melt in your mouth taste. Dark Chocolate This moist classic is sure to be the ultimate experience for any chocolate lover. White and Chocolate We combine these feather light white layers with dark chocolate filled with fudge filling.

We had our wedding here and I have to say that from start to finish everything that they did to make things flow as best as possible. The people they recommended to use all were very professional and made our wedding spectacular. The venue itself is so beautiful on the outside for the ceremony, while the inside had everything needed to have a fantastic reception. The cooking staff did an amazing job with the food and everyone serving were always on top of things. Just an amazing experience to share with so many people.

John and Kacie were phenomenal! We met each of them on separate occasions, and both provided such thorough information and were patient and kind with all of the questions we had. Kacie worked with our budget and made sure we understood every aspect of the contract and planning. We can’t wait to have our wedding there! The venue was gorgeous and there are so many packages and add ons. We really appreciate everything and everyone

While this venue was one of the most beautiful venues I had seen, I definitely had my ups and downs while dealing with La Mariposa for my wedding. The staff are very friendly and very kind, but I had multiple experiences in which someone forgot they made an appointment with me and couldn't see me, or would take weeks to get back to me about a simple question.

I had my engagement party at La Mariposa in March 2021 and there aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful of an experience it was. The place is gorgeous. Both Steve and Francisca are wonderful. They were easy to meet and communicate with and we are forever thankful. 5 stars and highly recommended!

I attended a wedding at La Mariposa and it was amazing. When my father in law passed we wanted to do something very special for his Celebration of Life. We had his Jewish Ceremony outside in they beautiful outdoor gazebo and followed with a reception indoors. The gorgeous green landscape outdoors was the perfect setting for the ceremony. I am finally getting around to writing a review for our wedding. This is the best place to get married in Tucson if you want a beautiful, peaceful, private, affordable venue with fantastic people and delicious food. I've seen and worked at most of the venues in town but La Mariposa is the most naturally beautiful all around. They exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend for any event.
