In the heart of downtown Greensboro's arts district, Crop Salon was established in 2013 as the vision of longtime friends and coworkers Ali Pucilowski and Angela Mcclure. Ali and Angela envisioned a salon that would feel like home to stylists and guests alike, and a team with the talent and passion to execute hair at the highest level.
Ali Pucilowski is a globally trained 25 year veteran in the craft of hairdressing. A Philadelphia native, Ali initially trained at the Aveda Institute and went on to work in a boutique salon where she was voted "Best Stylist" in Philadelphia Magazine. Her love of knowledge, and the art of hairdressing has taken her to London England where she studied with the Vidal Sassoon Master Academy and Trevor Sorbie.

My hair is baby fine, Nadya did a wonderful job on my highlights and cut. Great color! I couldn't decide whether to cut short or leave my hair as is, she suggested in-between. I can wear up or down. It usually takes 2-3 visits for a stylist to work with my baby fine, straight hair and she did it with one visit. Thank you Nadya.

I really wanted to give a higher score but overall my experience was just kinda bleh. I ended up waiting about 30 min before my stylist came over. I had Bobby and he was super cool to talk to but it was the overall service I was disappointed in! This was about double the price of what I was expecting and it was not worth it for me. I'm just a college student trying to get a nice haircut but tbh I'd rather save the money and cut it at home. Nice I guess but not worth the money for me. Wish it was better as I was really hoping for a great 5-star experience

I work in TV - so appearance is pretty important. I have naturally dark hair, but lighter looks better under camera lights, so I tend to lean towards the blonde side when getting my hair done.
I just moved to Greensboro and was looking for a new stylist. I booked with Amy and let her know what I was searching for. After my appointment, my hair was still a little darker than what we were aiming for. Amy was so encouraging to rebook free of charge to help lighten things up more.
I went back two weeks later and she took so much time and detail to make sure

I had my first visit to Crop yesterday and Emily cut my hair. There wasn't anything about this salon that I didn't love! From the exposed brick, to the open air concept of the building, I felt trendy just being there. Emily spoke with me about my hair, which being wavy/curly, is just like hers! She suggested tweaking my current bang situation and adding more layers. She made me feel very confident in wanting to try out a middle part and in the end, it was amazing! I have never felt more confident walking out of a salon. With her bubbly and relatable personality, to the way that she really listened

Couldn't make it home fast enough to get my review up! Ali took care of me and it was a wonderful first-time experience for me here at Crop Salon. She is very professional, caring, and lovely overall. She listened and gave me incredible feedback going over all the different options and was very detailed/thorough with it all, very helpful and just what a person like me needed. I also left with a couple of great products, if you're wondering where to go for your next color/cut -this is it folks!

Caitlin did such a great job! She’s an excellent listener. She also talked me through my idea for bangs, helping me figure out what would actually work for best for my hair. I have pretty fine hair and she did such a great job giving me a cut that adds body!
The salon itself is also very nice and the staff and stylists are taking precautions to keep people safe, including requiring masks, taking temperatures at the door and having partitions between the shampoo stations.
Will definitely return and book with Caitlin again!

My first visit was incredible! Today I experienced personalized caring service. The salon is beautiful and extremely clean.
Amy almost made fall asleep in the chair during my shampoo/conditioner! She's so very sweet!
Then I had the pleasure of meeting Tuesdae. He is so talented and took the time to look and feel my hair and he listened and improved what I wanted.
I feel so fortunate to have discovered Crop!

I will start this review by stating that january was my last haircut thanks to covid and the fact that i moved from avl to gso and needed to make an appt as a new client. so to say i was excited for this appt is an understatement. i was warmly and safely met by the talented and joyous Cece who took her time to really learn about my hair and it's idiosyncrasies, then she proceeded to give me the best shampoo EVER all while effortlessly engaging in conversation and making my first salon trip in a while feel like a true experience. i love this salon, their commitment and use of eco friendly products

Worst experience ever,showed the stylist how I wanted my hair colored and cut WITH A PHOTO, and left with no difference in color at all. She told me it was impossible to reach the hair color i wanted without several trips to the salon but this was her own personal opinion. My hair looks the same as when I came in, JUST SHORTER. The stylist ripped out my cartilage earring with a comb after she knew it was there. I was poked in the eye and she was anything but gentle through the whole process. Too much money for no new color or style. She used a processing hair dryer instead of a blow dryer and left

Amy was a godsend in regards to my hair appointment. She was honest with what I needed and how short I needed it to be to get back to a healthy look/feel. She was also super nice and super understanding about why I do crazy things with my hair lol.
The salon is nice and well lit with a rustic feel. Most of the staff was previously at Chakras and is very accommodating to last minute appointments.

I have been in search of a hair salon for a few months now after my stylist of many years moved away. I'm sure most people can relate, trusting anyone with your hair is a tough thing to do. After tons of research, I found myself booking an appointment at Crop Salon. Just walking the through the doors of this beautiful salon, I was sold! It is absolutely gorgeous and so chic.
I was then greeted by my stylist, Kayla. She immediately made me feel so comfortable, and took the time to really understand my vision. She was able to tell me exactly how much length I'd lose, and didn't cut

I had a very specific hair cut I'd like to have and on crop hair salon's Instagram I found both Ali and Angela did very similar hair cut in the past. When I called to make appointments with either Ali or Angela, I learned that all the designers are booked for weeks and Ali and Angela at the time are not taking any new clients. Fortunately for me, one of Angela's appointment was canceled the next day and therefore I got a haircut appointment for that. Later on I learned from Angela that she's considering taking some new clients now.

I have spent the weekend getting so many compliments on my hair that I am compelled to let everyone know how excellent Caitlin is as well as Crop Salon. I've been going to Caitlin for over 10 years and while I always LOVE my cut and color when I leave her chair...I felt it was time to praise her excellent work! I enjoy the relaxed vibe at Crop - and appreciate Caitlin for putting up with my 3 hour appointment every 7 weeks - long blonde hair w/highlighting = high maintenance...but 100% worth it with Caitlin!!

I love Crop Salon. My stylist, Anna, always does a great job. I've been to A LOT of salons in Greensboro trying to find "the one," and this place is definitely it. The atmosphere is super cool, with exposed brick and art by local artists. There's even a coffee bar for guests! Highly recommend this salmon. Just keep in mind that they are popular, so don't expect to call and get an appt for that same day. It typically takes a few weeks (unless there's a cancellation).

I had an appointment with Anna today and she did a stunning job on my hair! Absolutely stunning! I got a balayage done. I was there for three hours because my hair is so thick, but I didn't mind being there. The salon is very visually appealing. The staff is incredibly nice. They have art hung on the walls and music playing in the background. You can tell that they enjoy what they do. I heard from other reviews that the shampoo massages are wonderful, and they're right! I had tingles going up my spine lol.
10/10 would recommend going!

I've had my fair share of bad hair salon experiences which made me kind of skeptical of coming to Crop, but as soon as I walked in, I literally fell in love with the hospitality from the other employees and my stylist Sarah.
I asked for a long angled bob cut and Sarah did so well on it that I've decided to become a reoccurring customer, which is definitely a first from me! She did really well at making me feel comfortable and super relaxed which is amazing from my other experience in high point.
Aside from the great job she did, I absolutely loved the feel and layout of the salon

Just can't get enough of this shop! I'm not usually an "every 3 months" kinda of gal when it comes to cut and color but these ladies do such a great job I just keep coming back. I have seen Sarah the last 2 times and I absolutely love her. She does a great job at adding volume to my thin, straight, long hair. She has hair tricks that I've never seen other stylists do before. Also, still in love with the color I get here. A+++++. See you in May!

After finding the style I had in mind. I called on a Tuesday and made an appointment for Thursday (same week).
I arrived to my appointment and felt very comfortable. They have a great atmosphere and very clean.
Spoke with the stylist about what I wanted. Showed some pictures. Then she got started. Wash, Cut, Style! It was exactly what I wanted and she did a fabulous job! Her name was Emily I recommend her 100%

My wife, son and I all get our hair cut and styled here.
The stylists are some of the best in town and some of the nicest as well.
The space is very hip and stylish but warm. Reclaimed wood counters run the length of either side of the salon.
It is open and airy, warm and inviting.
The prices are reasonable for all the basics. My wife is a New York City hair snob and when we moved here in 2013, she started at Chakras as did I. By December, by chance, both her stylist and my stylist left
