As parents' needs grew, so did my heart to serve. My all-embracing model of care grew alongside their babies. Before I knew it I was baking cakes, shooting birthdays, and babysitting for date night. Baby's First Year portraits grew to photographing the first day of kindergarten! I absolutely love watching families grow and I am honored to have been there to see it all, with or without my camera.

My first birth I attended was in 1999, but it's only been in the last 10 years that I have built a business out of it. I received my doula training through DONA. I support ALL families + their unique birth. I have 5 children of my own, and have attended over 200 births. I would LOVE to meet you and your partner for frozen yogurt, to learn all about your pregnancy and what you hope/dream for your birth experience.
You only have to watch one video to answer the question, "Why is videography necessary when I have photos?" It's the sounds, voices, newborn movements. Things that just can't be captured on a photo. My approach to videography is a bit unique as I shoot like a seasoned parent. My oldest child is 21 and my "baby" is now 10.

I'm there to capture the moments leading up to your baby's birth with tasteful, but real imagery of the happiest day of your life. Maegan somehow made me LOOK AMAZING the entire labor.
North Atlanta Newborn photography captures the moments that tell the story of your baby's first weeks of life and takes place in your home. I will capture all the little newborn details, the excitement of family and friends, the emotions and all the "firsts" after you bring the baby home. All of my children have a pregnancy album of sorts filled with ultrasound photos, journaling, weight gain facts, and the infamous belly-growing photos. Photo: Photograph their reactions as they happen, or re-enact the announcement for a photograph. Photo: If possible, have your partner stop in to take a group shot or set your camera on a timer to capture the event.

I have worked with Maegan twice - maternity photoshoot and newborn photoshoot. Both photoshoots were done at my house.
She is professional; arrives on time, easy to contact via text message and email, and you’ll have your edited photos within 1-2 weeks.
She is creative and brings additional ideas to the photoshoot. For example, I received roses after the birth of my daughter. The roses were dying but still looked pretty. She brought an idea to assemble the flowers in the basket with my daughter. The photos came out beautifully.
She is very charismatic and witty, she makes you feel comfortable

I can’t say enough good things about Maegan! Even before we hired her she was so informative and helpful. Being a first time mom there was a lot of new things I was navigating. Any time I had a question, she would always be there. In the middle of my pregnancy, I became high risk and my whole birth plan changed. Being a planner, this stressed me out so much but Maegan spent hours on the phone with me helping me come up with a new birth plan and reassuring me that everything was going to be fine. Maegan is extremely genuine, responsive, compassionate and knowledgeable. From my first call with her, to our first in person meeting- I felt as if I was speaking to a friend I've known for years. She is gifted at making one feel comfortable, and guiding you through the birth process. Her photography skills are just as incredible as her doula care! My family and I were blown away. I didn't realize how important the pictures were until I saw her work. She is worth every penny and more.

Maegan far exceeded our expectations for Maternity photography from the very onset. Weeks before our photo shoot, she was so incredibly helpful. Maegan offered tons of advice to help find appropriate clothing and affordable flowers. She took the time to look over tons of pictures I texted her to coordinate flower choices for our milk bath shoot. I was so impressed by her attentiveness and eagerness to assist. Maegan has been incredible to work with! Not only does she have a phenomenal eye for photography, but her outgoing and bubbly personality make her a pleasure to work with. She also was incredible as our birth doula. We even switched doctors and hospitals just so we could have her present for the birth of our first child. Most people don't realize how important it is for a photographer to know how to pose you for your unique shape and features. I have been photographed by Maegan and seen her work with other clients.
