Our mission is to champion small businesses by providing professional business and accounting services that help management make confident, fact-based decisions for their business, customers, and employees. SMB Accounting and Consulting was founded in March of 2018 after receiving my CPA license from the State of Florida.
Pretrial: a forensic accountant can help the legal team with guidance during discovery and will often write a report at that stage regarding their findings, supporting facts and evidence, establishing causation, creating general strategy, and organization of the information supporting the case. Trial Support: while many cases end in settlement before trial, the approach must assume a trial is happening.
At SMB we go beyond just bookkeeping and accounting, and provide critical oversight and account management ensuring the right policies and procedures get implemented and timely accurate financials are produced. A good accounting system with a good controller should help you make more money. Internal Audit Outsourcing allows your organization to employ a temporary staff of audit experts to perform objective analysis and tests, and issue reports.
SMB has the unique capability to offer management services to compliment accounting support. Their Project Management Professional (PMP) with certifications in ISO 9001 and 6Sigma / Lean Management, helps managers and owners obtain a strong foothold on the quality and effectiveness of their enterprise.
With prior government work experience, SMB is uniquely positioned to assist with federal government contract accounting and guide businesses through the proposal process, accounting requirements, Defense Contract Auditing Agency (DCAA) and National Science Foundation (NSF) audit support, and review of final proposal submissions.

We are a small defense contractor, so our accounting has to be impeccable. After the sudden departure of our sole accounting person in the middle of transitioning to annew accounting system, followed by the colossal failure of a another accounting firm to "right the ship", Shannon, and her team, came in and carefully, steadily, and wisely set things right. We are square with DCAA on indirect rates, and incurred costs, and I have never felt more confidence in our finances and accounting, and have never received this much valuable information on them.
