Founded in June of 1985 by Mike Appelwick and Tom Lucas; Northeast Technical Services, Inc (NTS) began with services managing, operating, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment plants and providing basic wet chemistry laboratory analysis to these facilities. At the time, NTS employed a staff of six.
Over the years, NTS has evolved into a full-service, professional environmental services company employing approximately 50 engineers, field scientists, geologists, lab technicians, and support personnel. NTS has developed, attained and maintained a premier client base as a result of our reputation for providing quality services on a competitive and timely basis.

At NTS, your sustainability is our priority. We offer a full range of wetland services to meet the needs of private industry, local units of government and private land owners. Wetland regulations are complex and require in-depth knowledge and certification. NTS' wetland professionals include staff who are certified by the Society of Wetland Scientists as Professional Wetland Scientists.
