Marco Levy's lifelong love for diamonds began in Israel at age 14, when the young Marco developed an interest in cutting and repairing stones. A distinctive talent within the highly specialized business of fashioning rough stones into stunning, finished diamonds.
Having established his overseas reputation therefore Marco moved to the United States, working alongside expert jewelers in New York City until he relocated to the west coast and established The Diamond Source.Since opening in Old Town San Diego, The Diamond Source has catered to a global family of customers looking to match life's biggest moments with one of Marco's stones or custom designs.

How a diamond is cut - regardless of shape - is the key to a quality stone. Diamonds are often cut to maximize weight, not brilliance as we know that every part of a diamond must be cut to exact mathematical proportions in order to achieve maximum fire and brilliance.
The birthstone dates as far back as the first century when it was believed that there was a link between the twelve months of the year and the twelve stones in the breastplate of Aaron, the high priest of the Hebrews - as referenced in the Book of Exodus. Birthstones are also said to correspond with the 12 symbols of the Zodiac.

A hidden gem😉 among a sea of tourist attractions. We purchased two rings from them. A wedding ring for myself and a sapphire solitaire my wife. The service and friendliness was great. We didn't feel the sales pressure like other stores. For my wife's solitaire, she wanted a light pink sapphire, which was rather rare. They looked for a stone for us for months before we found right right one. The family run vibe is great compared to the high-end chains!

We have been going here for years. They have beautiful, quality jewelry. I highly recommend Doamond Source! The gems & Diamonds are top quality. Very sparkly! So much to choose from. Yet not the waist of money bad quality you find at mall Kay or Zales. There is just no comparison. Fantastic jewelry store! I grew up here in San Diego listening to Marco’s radio commercials on the school bus. When it came time to buying an engagement ring for my wife, I went to all the major ring stores first to get an average pricing and design concept. But it was when I went to The Diamond Source, that I could tell the night and day difference. I was able to speak directly with Marco, and designed my wife’s ring with him! The ring was more beautiful, was built with better quality (Platinum over White Gold) and even had clearer Diamonds, and to make it all better, the ring cost way less
