Eric Schaefer, a native of Tahoe, took the reins of Tahoe Landscaping in 1998 after graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He has worked with hundreds of satisfied clients to create custom landscapes in the Greater North Lake Tahoe and Truckee areas. He brings his knowledge of native plants, sustainability and a keen sense of design to every project.
His wife, Ingrid Schaefer, met Eric while also getting her Biology degree from UCSB. Together they forged a lasting relationship within which she provides administrative support and finances for the business. They are proud parents of two kids ages 12 and 10.

Tahoe Landscaping has been in the business of landscape design, construction, and maintenance for over 40 years and has pioneered the industry of landscaping in the Tahoe and Truckee areas. Our knowledge of native plants and low-maintenance design has been developed over decades of working in the High Sierra alpine environment.
All of our landscapes are custom designed to meet the unique individual tastes and functional needs of our clients. Owner, Eric Schaefer, prides himself on spending time with each client to gain an understanding of their specific preferences to create a landscape that is aesthetic and environmentally responsible.
