Was quoted a price to setup Quickbooks, prepare two business tax returns and my personal return. The firm did the work as expected and then sent a bill for more than double the amount quoted. When I asked one of the principals why the bill was higher it felt like he was giving me the runaround but I decided to pay it and move on to another tax preparer. Months later I receive another bill when no other services were rendered. Basically since they knew I was not going to use them anymore they wanted to give me a going away present. Beware of price gouging and bait and switch tactics.
