I started in practice on Main St. Winthrop in 1979 after graduating from New York Chiropractic College. My wife Gail was our first staff person and office manager. She still fills in when needed, along with running her busy massage practice. Over the years we have had eight associate chiropractors in the practice, the most recent being our daughter Lacaya.
Chiropractic is based on the premise that your body has an innate organization or intelligence that causes it to always express its greatest potential for health and healing. This intelligence is communicated to your body through your nervous system, which controls all the functions of the body. Problems in the spine interfere with this communication and therefore with your body's ability to heal itself.

Sadly I have a review similar to somebody else's. Whilst the people and the place were wonderful, I have to question whether the treatment was appropriate for my case. The understanding from subsequent practitioners is that significant adjustments (at that time) have worsened the condition. This has resulted in me still having significant issues 4 months after having visited Hoyt.
The place is great, but considering the outcome, I find it hard to rate it positively.
