Hi, I'm Amy, the face behind the camera here at Amy Cherie Photography in Metairie, Louisiana. I'm a mom of 2 amazing kids, HUGE lover of coffee and pizza with a fun and lively spirit. My passion for photography is driven by the ability to stop time and capture precious details and authentic expressions between you and your children.
Fresh 48 photography is a unique session in the hospital for those new families who want the first few hours of their newborn's life captured without having the entire labor or birth documented. The Fresh 48 session allows for a simple portrait session to document this fleeting time: those new little fingers and toes, snuggles with daddy, tender moments with mama, and even siblings meeting for the first time!
Grow With Me sessions are designed to capture the milestones of your baby at newborn, 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months. The newborn session will capture those precious sleepy baby poses and the 4 month milestone captures them holding their head up at tummy time. The 8 month captures them sitting like a champ, and lastly the 12 month captures the standing milestone.
There is nothing more precious than family, and it is such an honor for me to capture the memories of your family as it grows. The thought of my photographs displayed in my clients' homes for years to come is amazing feeling. Children change so quickly, it is so important to capture each stage through photographs.

I have hired Amy to do multiple family sessions and also my newborns. She is wonderful! She is very professional and easy to communicate with. She is also really great with my two younger children who are often rambunctious around new people (which would normally make taking family photos extremely stressful for me). She works with them and incorporates play and fun into the sessions for them so that they participate more easily. Amy has been my family photographer for the past six years. I first met her when I booked my son's grow with me sessions. Since then, she's done our family pictures and each our of children's yearly pictures. I usually book at least 4 sessions with her each year. She is easy to work with and I am always so happy with the pictures she takes. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for any type of family photography.

Absolutely amazing from day 1! I work a busy job and can’t always call to talk during normal hours, so I’ve been in contact via email. She is quick to respond! We took our maternity pictures and are preparing to take grow with me pictures. My husband absolutely hates taking pictures and she made this SO easy! I felt like we were friends on our first meet. We have used Amy for the last 5 years and each time we are more overwhelmed by her talent than the last. Her work is second to none.
