Dr. Zhang has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine for over 35 years in both China and the US. His experiences include working in hospitals, maintaining a private clinical practice, as well as teaching and conducting research.

As one of the oldest medical arts, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) uses methods that have been practiced for over 3,000 years to prevent and treat diseases and maintain overall health. In Chinese medicine, the concepts of health and disease are relative. The classics speak of health as a state where the functions of the zang-fu organ systems and meridians are normal, while qi, blood, yin and yang are all in balance.
Here at Haosheng Acupuncture, treatments generally consist of combinations of different treatment modalities, tailored to each patient's unique needs. Acupuncture is a very important component of Chinese medicine and is one of the therapies in Chinese medicine we commonly use in our practice. It is done by inserting and manipulating very fine needles into specific points on the meridians in the body to regulate the flow of qi and restore balance.
Initial appointments at Haosheng Acupuncture Clinic last 90 minutes. We will go over your health history, discuss your main concerns, create a personalized treatment plan and provide your first acupuncture treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes before your initial appointment so you have time to fill out some paperwork and slow down with a cup of tea.

The best acupuncturist in Portland!! Dr. Zhang is a fantastic, very experienced, kind, and exuberant practitioner. I have no idea why I didn't write this review a long time ago, but since I recently returned to see him for another issue, I decided I absolutely had to give credit where it is due.

Dr. Zhang is a wonderful physician. When I see him he lights me up like a x-mas tree and explains Taoist principles that help me understand how his practice helps me. Both my daughter and I see him; I had a TKR and thumb joint replacement and his ability to reduce the swelling remarkable. My daughter sees him for for TMJ...it's working. Great clinic area where you really feel peaceful - I inhale the air; there is a smell there that I love.

Dr. Zhang is one of the best acupuncturist. He is highly experienced and educated. He has a warming environment where you can come and relax and let him handle your problems. He is a very caring doctor and really wants you to get better. I highly recommend anyone looking for a natural pain relief to go to Dr. Zhang. You wont regret it!

I have been going to Dr. Zhang since last three months and he is the best Dr. I have ever been to. I love his kindness and patience. He listens and understands the condition very well and gives the perfect treatment for your illness or imbalance. He is very skilled and talented and I highly recommend him for any kind of illness related treatment. His office is very clean, friendly and feels like home. I always leave Haosheng Acupuncture feeling much, much better than when I arrive. Dr Zhang and his assistant are always highly professional, and also pleasant and warm. I have been coming to this clinic for a couple of years to treat pain, allergies, and for overall wellness.
