Almost everybody will have a cavity at some point in their lives. While improved dental care has reduced the rates of cavities significantly, we have yet to eliminate them entirely. We don't believe that a cavity should permanently mar the appearance of your smile, however. At Summercrest Dental, we use tooth-colored fillings to repair the damage caused by cavities.
At Summercrest Dental, we think there's no reason why your smile can't be both beautiful and healthy. High-quality porcelain restorations allow us to make repairs to damage and fix cosmetic flaws. Unlike other practices, which often send their restoration work to huge overseas labs, we only use smaller, local labs.

I recently switched to Dr. Gilstrap as my dentist. At my first appointment, Dr. Gilstrap performed an in-depth assessment and discovered I was in need of a couple small fillings. He used a camera to document what he was seeing and explained his approach to resolve the problem. Stephanie, the office manager, was extremely flexible in making my follow-up appointment accommodate my work schedule. During my follow-up appointment, Dr. Gilstrap and his staff worked with precision, efficiency, and great care to ensure I was comfortable at all times. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Summercrest Dental. Dr Gilstrap and his staff are very professional and welcoming. I had an emergency and the staff was able to schedule me immediately. I went in with what I though was a toothache and Dr. Gilstrap quickly determined that I was actually suffering from a sinus infection. He completed only enough tests to make this clear. He explained his diagnosis clearly. After a trip to my physician I was able to get relief. I was very impressed with Dr. Gilstrap's diagnostic skills.

I was very pleased with my dental experience at Summercrest Dental. Both the hygienist and dentist were thorough in providing me with a complete dental check-up. They took the time to review my dental needs, showed me the problems through x-rays and photos, and explained what I needed to do to get the problems taken care of.
The office was nice and clean and the staff was great. I would highly recommend this dental practice to my family and friends based on my experience.
