At some point in your life you've probably had a bad experience with an auto repair service. It's sad, but most of us have experienced it. Since most people don't know a lot about car repairs I guess that makes it easy for other shops to take advantage of people. The good news is that you do have a choice.
A good repair shop knows that the most important part of their business is loyal, repeat customers. Our goal is to provide you with such great service that you become one of our many loyal customers. As a customer you deserve great service at a fair price. You don't want to wonder if the auto repair shop is charging you for work you don't really need.

Services
A lot of people ask how often they should get their brakes checked. To answer this you must first understand that it really depends on how you drive the vehicle. If you are the type of driver that rides the brake peddle then you are going to need your brakes checked a lot more often then someone that doesn't ride their brakes.
When your check engine light comes on it's always when you least expect it. It seems to happen when you are either in a hurry or when you are on your way to having a great weekend at the beach. Either way there is no need to panic, pull over to the side of the road and call a tow truck. It does mean that something is going on and needs to be checked.
You not only get an oil change, which is "preventive maintenance", but you also get an inspection on your belts, hoses, fluids, windshield wipers and tires to make sure your car is safe and sound before you pull away. Do you really want someone to say that you'll be in and out in 10 minutes when oil changes are one of the most important auto maintenance jobs you can do for your car?
Everyone that owns a vehicle goes though the same drama when it comes to getting their service work done. First thing that goes through your head is "who can I trust and where should I go?" You know the dealer costs more but you really don't know anybody else to turn to so you start asking your friends for advice.
Forest Hill Car Care would like to thank Colleen and Pat for taking the time to post a review. You deserve to have good customer care when you have you car serviced. I've been a loyal customer since 1971 with Dave and Bob. I have followed them to several different facilities because of their honesty and good service.

Forest Hill car care inspected our used 1999 Toyota 4Runner. While doing so, the inspector broke the handle assembly to the tailgate, rendering the tailgate inoperable and leaving the 'door ajar' light illuminated.
When I brought it back and requested they look at the issue, I was met with soft chuckles and the reply "what do you want me to do about it," implying that due to its age, I should have expected the vehicle to break while under their care.
(No matter that I've had no issues with the tailgate previously.)
Very disappointed that they charged me $95 to inspect

My daughter was treated very fairly with Bob the owner for her Volkswagon. I am getting some work done now myself. The people at this shop are like dealing with a family member. I've been in a service business for 30 years and easily recognize people who have their heart in what they do for a living.

First time customer to Forest Hill Car service. Bob, the owner, was very professional, courteous& knowledgeable. IThe purpose of my appointment was to have them do a 55k check up on my 2011 Honda CRV.
The technicians completed the check up in 45min..including an oil change, oil filter, and tire rotation in addition to required checklist from Honda. Total bill:$78.50. I was very satisfied with service, professional communication and price. I highly recommend Forest Hill Car Service
