TCM is a healing art system that originated thousands of years ago. It is based on the concept of energetic flow within the body along a network of pathways. If this movement is blocked or imbalanced, pain and illness result. In TCM, the client is viewed as an interconnected whole. A problem in one area of the body is affected by and impacts the entire person.
Please plan between 1 to 1 1/2 hours for your initial appointment, which is a comprehensive review of your health history, lifestyle, and the symptoms or condition for which you are seeking treatment. This is primarily based on the information you provide on the client information form and in our discussion, but also includes examination of your tongue and feeling your pulses.
We are co-located with Driven Wellness at 3535A Rose Street in Franklin Park, IL. Free parking is available in the lot in front of the office. We are also easily accessible by PACE bus #303, which departs from the Forest Park and Rosemont stops of the CTA blue line. This is a comprehensive consultation and treatment session (~60 to 90 minutes).
Mary Wetterstrand is a Licensed Acupuncturist, and National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. She is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, where she earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2010.
