An artist, dedicated to seeing beauty and capturing a person's essence and energetic signature, Lily has been photographing people for over 10 yrs. Born to an artist father and a dressmaker mother, Lily was the equal product of their artistic combination. Lily received her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from California College of the Arts, and immediately following, chose to design couture wedding gowns for 12 years.
She became known as the local 'Vera Wang', designing custom bridal gowns for distinguishing brides. Through her artistic eyes, Lily produces the awesome from the mundane, and effortlessly brings out the inner model in everyone she photographs. Lily has an easy way about her, and seeks to connect with everyone she crosses paths and understand people on an intuitive level.

You look in the mirror everyday, and you just see the outer layer of who you are. I go deeper, into the inner beauty that you feel, through my lens, I capture your essence and reflect it back to you. This life is a journey, we take pictures to remember where we've been, and to record our struggles, growth and changes.
How long will my session actually take? About 15 - 45 minutes. Short enough to fit into a lunch break! 2. Do you offer professional hair/makeup service? Yes! It's $100 for both hair styling and makeup specific for the camera. If doing your own makeup, please avoid all shimmery eye shadow to avoid hot spots in the finished image.

Lily did a set of engagement photos for us. She was easy to schedule and has a very comfortable home studio which we chose vs outdoors. I had previously used Lily for photos in the past, and was thrilled with the results. Lily is so professional and attentive and her direction on proper clothing and posing is spot on. She’s also very personable and cares about her clients. The photos were delivered on time, for an appropriate price and most importantly, exceeded our expectations.

To say I hate having my picture taken is an understatement. I knew I needed headshots for work, and had been putting it off for months and months. I still had my pandemic hair, a whole wardrobe of pajamas, mask-ne, and the worst attitude. I have unique contours of my face that when the lighting is off- just looks completely asymmetrical and unflattering.

My husband and I booked Lily for some studio portraits. The photo shoot was a great experience. She was extremely attentive to how our clothes were arranged and extremely skilled at putting us into elegant poses. Lily was very quick to respond via email during the whole process as well and the final edited pictures are absolutely beautiful. We look forward to hanging them in our home.

On short notice, a client asked me for a more formal head shot. I found Lily through her on-line reviews. She was incredibly responsive setting up the appointment. Lily had a great process for getting the best shot and gave clear instructions throughout the actual shooting. I loved her process of selecting the final photo and appreciated her offering just the right amount of advice. My photo arrived, as promised, about 3 days later and my wife, my client and I all love it. I highly recommend Lily and will certainly use her again.

My head shot with Lily Dong was a 10/10 amazing experience from the hair and makeup which brought out a beauty I haven't been able to bring out on my own, to the way Lily works, the whole experience was nurturing, easy, comfortable and fun. Lily captures the essence of the person. She captured me looking contemplative, happy, confident, compassionate. Then I got to choose how I wanted to be portrayed. The shots are absolutely gorgeous.
