Founded by John Arthur Mantoan in 1977, Art's Landscaping began with a pickup truck and one employee. Today, Art's Landscaping is supported by a team of twenty-five employees experienced in landscape design, complex irrigation systems, and installation of hardscapes. We continue to work with returning costumers and much of our business comes from costumer referrals.

Art's Landscaping is a full service landscape company dedicated to sustainable practices that benefit the client and planet. We design, install, and maintain landscapes, irrigation systems, patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, water features, hardscapes and outdoor night lighting.

Designer David Cook holds a BS in Art from Olivet Nazarene University, Studied Horticulture at Joliet Junior College and has worked for Art's Landscaping for nineteen years. He is a past President of Kankakee Kultivators Garden Club and an active volunteer of Hospice of Kankakee Valley & the Kankakee County Humane Foundation.

Art's relocated a dormant 12' tall water fountain that once graced the front lawn of the Kankakee County Court House, restored its functionality, and designed the surrounding Column Garden at the Governor Small Memorial Park. Now, couples routinely hold marriage ceremonies in the Column Garden.
The Art's team oversaw volunteer teens at Maternity BVM church parish and school where they created flower beds, installed a stone path, and built a bench and sitting area from abandoned materials that were already on site.Art's Landscaping has furnished thousands of dollars of trees, flowering plants and hardscape areas.

Told the receptionist that I had a sink hole problem in my yard. She stated that they could help with this problem. Sent them pictures. I've called them back 4 times. I keep being told a scheduler will call back. No phone calls back. Extremely unprofessional! If you do not want the business, then say so! Don't waste your time with this company.

I called Arts to replace 2 valves on my sprinkler system and adjust a few sprinkler heads along my driveway. I ended up with several issues by the time the project was done.
1) The tech broke the end of my PVC that's attached to the valves and decided to replace the entire PVC line. I was charged for the parts and 8 hours’ worth of labor caused by their mistake.
2) The tech ran out of glue and had to drive to town which took about an hour. Again, I was charged for their "labor."
3) When the job was "finished" the housing boxes flooded worse than before. The tech did not replace the valves
