Gregg Haaer showed up to do our appraisal. He refused to look at any receipts for upgrades and repairs and even commented "it will be hard to find comps for this home". My wife found comps,no problem. He was not willing to look in the attic and see the new insulation. He said our new back up generator system did not help the value,new appliances didn't help. Never again.

As a realtor I deal with appraisers quite often. This year alone I have been involved in 30 real estate transactions so far. West Shore Appraisal did such a great job that I recommended their company for a private appraisal. They are thorough, prompt, polite, professional, and courteous. Please don't let the negative reviews sway you. Unfortunately, sometimes appraisers have to be there bearers of bad news.

I don’t know who Greg is in reviews, because I had Ron. I can’t say enough good about him. He was very considerate, kind, observant and professional. It was during shutdown and he was very careful to protect me from any possible contagion. Answered all of my questions. Ask for Ron and you cannot go wrong.

Worst appraiser/appraisal we ever saw and we have used many appraisers. Didn't bother to use same comps as are model so used homes with less square feet. I believe he used Zillow.Com and Realtor.Com for his references PERIOD. He appraised $50,00 less than builder. Didn't give us credit for solar panels or whole house generator. Ignored all up grades. I am confused as to why lenders would use this company or Gregg Haarer (possibly because he low balls)!! We disputed his appraisal and he barely went up on the figure. The north number never answers the phone. The sarasota # has a very unprofessional secretary. She says "ohhhhhhhhhhhh okay" many times like she does not understand what your saying. Can't explain in a professional way why they do not have time to do an appraisal. Only says because the home was a rented as a triplex. Will never call them for the other houses we will have for sale. Most unprofessional and unfriendly business. Will not refer them to any of my real estate friends.

If you are looking for an honest and fair appraisal, this is not the company. If there was a negative star I would give that because one star is extremely generous. The bank sent this guy over for a VA certified appraisal. Didn't identify himself at my door nor present a Buisness card. It turns out that the assistant was sent over to do the appraisal( hence no ID nor was he certified by the VA it turns out). By far some of the most incompetent people I have ever delt with. The phrase "I don't know" was used more times than I can count and when it came time to value my new solar panels Greg's remarks

The appraiser is very incompetent. I have had appraisals done before and each time the square footage of the house and number of rooms were the same and also matched what the county had. Now here comes Gregg Haaer who called me can I come now can be there in 45 minutes as I am in the area. I agreed since it would be easier for him and did not want it on the back of his mind I put him out by saying no. Well I spoke with the mortgage company who is the client and they received a reply from him he still feels he cannot count the dining room as a room. Though every other appraiser did, guess the world
