Founded in 1959, Uni-Tec Consulting Engineers Inc. is proud of its success and service spanning over five decades. The initial mission of the State College company was to provide material testing and test boring services in Central Pennsylvania. In 1976, Thomas F. Songer and Frank C. Welsh bought Universal Technical Inc.

Throughout his 30 years with Uni-Tec, Patrick Ward has led the firm in engineering planning, design, and construction administration; financial management; and operation of municipal water and wastewater facilities and systems. He has undertaken the varied challenges of water and wastewater systems engineering and management.
