I've been in business since 2003. I grew up on the border of Orange and LA County but started my professional career in Chicago during the end of the film days and moved back to California in 2011. I pride myself on making it easy for the people I work with to be comfortable in front of my camera so they can do there best work.
When you come to my studio or meet me at an event or commercial shoot it's my job to listen to what you need and hope to get out of your session and then make that happen. I always have suggestion, ideas and advice. That being said: I always want to hear what you think and am happy to accommodate suggestions as long as they elevate your images and experience.

Professional, Personable, Prepared!
Ben was referred to my colleague and I and we can't say enough about our experience. Ben was upfront and clear about his services and pricing. He prepared us for the shoot with a checklist which set us up for the shoot to be a success. Ben was set up, ready and allowed us time to get comfortable with being in the front of the camera.
Our shoot was fun and the results were fantastic! We highly recommend him!

Having met Ben and seeing his work, I would be happy to recommend him to anyone looking for awesome photography.

My wife and I had the opportunity to work with Ben earlier this year during a business shoot he did for us. We were so impressed with the results that he has now become our office's preferred vendor. My family used Ben Newton for a family portrait. It was a challenging photoshoot with three generations and limited time. Ben had us in and out in a short but productive amount of time. He took so many great pictures that it made it difficult to choose my favorite pictures. He was even good with my 4 year old who is not a fan of holding still or smiling on command. The beautiful pictures will provide us with great memories. I plan to use him again for graduation pictures for my oldest daughter.

Very pleased with whole experience! Ben did head shots for me to go along with marketing material that was created for my real estate business. He listened to what I needed, gave some great advice, and explained what he intended to do. The results were a relaxed portrait that conveyed an authentic representation of me. He made the whole experience so comfortable and did such an amazing job, I have referred coworkers, family, and friends. To be honest, I was dreading our photo session. Date = 4 days after Christmas (can you say "feeling bloated") and our subjects consisted of one mother/grandmother, three adult siblings, two spouses (who honestly weren't super thrilled at their Football Sunday being thwarted) and four children ages 5-9. Recipe for Disaster, if you ask me.

What a class act. I needed professional pictures for my website as well as personal pictures for other social media. This was my first time to spend an hour in front of a camera; and I have to say, I felt a little stiff and awkward initially. However, under Ben's direction I was able to loosen up and feel at ease in no time.

Ben Newton Photography is a new arrival to the Southland from Chicago. When I first heard about him from a friend who lives in Chicago, I was a little worried that his newness to the area would impact his ability to do great work. I was wrong. When I called, I was immediately put at ease by his calm and professional demeanor. As It turns out, he is actually originally from SoCal!

Ben was our wedding photographer this september and he was terrific.
