Kids in PJs running down the hallway, Legos on the floor, laughs coming from a tickle fight, quiet moments during bedtime stories. These are the precious moments we will remember forever, yet they often are the ones we forget to capture. I believe there's nowhere more special to document a slice of your family life, your interactions and your environment than in the comfort of your own home.
We all remember the "glamor shots" of the 80s and 90s. Our parents dressed us up in fancy outfits and brought us to a studio where we posed for what felt like hours until we were sweating and our cheeks hurt from smiling. While they had great intentions, let's be honest, they are not our fondest memories.
We are very happy with Diane's photography. Our photo session took place in our house so we certainly had to feel comfortable welcoming Diane into our home. She was great! Very friendly and courteous. She didn't "direct" us to do certain things, she just blended into our environment and captured the authentic interactions that our family was having.
End of 2016, I was fortunate enough to leave my corporate job. In between school drop-off, toddler tantrums and selling swimming equipment at my corporate job, life was happening and flying by my eyes. To pursue my life long passion of photography, I finally decided to go back to school. Photographing my family made me feel like I could freeze time.

Diane is AMAZING! We could not be happier with how our Family Photoshoot turned out and we are so grateful to have found her! She was fast, efficient, and she captured just what we wanted. We had an exclusively positive experience with Diane. She was brought into our 2.5 year old songs preschool over the course of a week. Toddlers are not the easily client population but she was able to get a number of very sweet images that capture his personality. She was able to use a number of different props to keep his attention. Overall, Diane was excellent to work with!

We are so happy we asked Diane to capture our family in photos! It is really easy to plan a session with her and she thinks of the little details ahead of time so you can be comfortable and ready to go when she arrives. Diane put all of us at ease, so we were all comfortable doing what we normally do in our home. Wonderful Family photo session with Diane! Before coming to our house Diane took the time to talk to us about our wishes for this session, to make sure these memorable photos would represent our family life. Together we decided where we could take pictures, and what kind of activities the kids love so they would feel comfortable and look relax on the pictures (we have a 3yo and a 11months), she even did some pics with the kids in the kiddie pool! Diane was awesome! Not only was Diane super talented, professional, punctual, responsive, but she made our photo session fun and exciting! Each year I struggle to get my kids to take pictures, but this year we decided to hire Diane and I am so glad that we did! Diane is a very talented photographer capable of serious adult portraits as well as fun children's shots. She came to my house with her pop-up studio and managed to put me at ease in front of a camera (I am rather shy of them). In very little time she had professional yet natural portraits of me for my LinkedIn profile. Diane was equally skillful at getting my 7-year-old daughter comfortable with the camera. This is the second time we sought Diane's expertise and we were not disappointed! She took a ton of amazing photos of our sons this time. I am so glad we captured them as young men. I recently hired Diane to photograph my Submarine Reunion and banquet. Diane was awesome! Her personality and constant smile made everyone feel at ease as she positioned attendees for individual and couples photos. The pictures came out fantastic!! Actually better than expected. Her random shots of everyone milling about, at the banquet tables, and of the band were definitely a bonus! If you need a photographer it would be a mistake to look for anyone other than Diane. Diane photographed my husband's 50th Birthday Party at Shelter in Encinitas, and she was AMAZING. It was a party of about 120 guests, and she kept track of everything and everyone I wanted photographed. The photos turned out great - lighting, clarity, angles, candids, posed... all of it. Diane is a very talented photographer! I love my maternity pictures she took. First Diane tried to understand what I was expecting, then she gave me some suggestions. We took pictures indoor and outdoor. And they came out beautiful! She was creative on the spot! And she used great camera angles to shoot my belly. The session was comfortable and fun! No intimidation whatsoever.. and she made me look better than I did in real life!!

We had such a great time during our session with Diane! She is AMAZING with toddlers, which is something I was worried about with a shy 20mo. She did a variety of poses and brought fun props like toys and bubbles for our son. She even brought him a balloon to take home and play with! Her editing is amazing as well, our son had a big scab under his nose from a little fall and you can't even tell the picture. I highly recommend her for family photos!!

We were referred to Diane by a friend of ours and we contacted her to take some photos of our family.
