Services
Animal Hospital of Eastern Utah is proud to serve Price, UT and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
Christy has been with us since 2008. She enjoys working with small and large animals. She enjoys prepping animals for surgery and spending time outdoors working with large animals. She loves to be home helping on the farm and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Ron started working with Dr. Thayn when he was in high school.
We are strong advocates of communication and will partner with you to solve your pet's health care issues while providing the best care available. During your first visit, we will take a medical history of your pet. Bring any information with you that is pertinent to the medical record. If you have veterinary records for your pet that you wish to transfer, you may have them sent to us by mail or your former veterinarian may fax information to us.
We strive to provide the best quality of service and care to our patients and clients. When you visit our hospital, you can expect to be welcomed by our staff in a friendly and professional atmosphere. Our team is comprised of passionate veterinary health professionals who treat all patients like members of their own family.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value
I went with my little man Gonzo. They treated me fantastic. The doctor was kind and understanding. They gave me and my little man exactly what we needed. AND it was at least 150-200 dollars cheaper than I expected. Cannot be happier with my experience.

I have three absolutely HORRIBLE experiences! PULL THEIR LICENSE!!!!!!!
Most recent was my English Bulldog. I took her in to see if she was pregnant because my normal vet couldn't get her in for about a week.
The Animal hospital told me if she wasn't at least 32 days along, the test might not work. They ran the blood test and told me they would call me. I left and got a call about 30 minutes later. They stated she was not pregnant. Exactly 6days later I come home from work and my dog has been in ACTIVE LABOR all day while I was gone! IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN SHE WAS THIS FAR OR EVEN PREGNANT I WOULD

Dr. Ford provided awful veterinary services to my dog and she passed away in excruciating pain. I brought her into the office a few hours before she passed away because she was declining. An exam wasn’t performed and zero pain medication was given. She was dying, but we were sent home with an anti-nausea medication. My dog experienced the longest, most painful and inhumane death; there wasn’t anything I could do, as the after hours service wasn’t answering. Because of her lack of care, I would never recommend her services.

They did a great job on our 10 year old Yorkie, Ginny. Ricci from Pet A Grees Grooming discovered a fairly serious ear problem last Monday and the Animal Hospital was able to get her in on an emergency basis. Dr. Tanisha Ford performed a surgery to lance and drain a hematoma, and Hannah did a bonus teeth cleaning while she was under. We are very happy - Ginny's only complaint is the cone!

I don't recommend anything about this hospital I don't recommend you take a dog a cat or a canary here it's outrageous and they're rude. someone dumped their cat in our neighborhood because they needed to get rid of it the cat was injured seriously injured back leg seriously injured we take the cat to the animal hospital I tell the secretary we're… willing to pay for the cats injuries instead of taking him to the pound but we need to do it in a couple payments cuz they're going to be outrageously priced Right 250 for an emergency visit whatever else is wrong with the cat well can't pay that

I give the animal hospital 5 stars because the staff is really friendly and helpful to all of their customers and customer's pets. They also do a terrific job keeping all of the pet profiles nicely organized, they're also terrific by reminding people when it is time for their pet(s) to come in for their yearly physical and vaccinations up to date!!! So if you're having a hard time trying to figure out where to take you pet, no matter what the situation is, I would definitely recommend the Animal Hospital in Price, Utah on Airport Road!!!

My parents always took our pets to Boyd, and now I take mine to him as well. Always very professional there. I don't know the new Vet's well but they seem like they know their stuff too and have treated my dog and cat very well. Thank you Boyd, Sue, and staff for all you do for the furry kids of this community.

They have always taken 5-star care of my “fur babies”. I trust this place with their lives! I even lived out of state for a little while & would make the long trip down to Price to have my pets visit this specific animal hospital. They treat my pets for small, basic issues (such as an antibiotic, trimming nails, shots/boosters) to more pressing… issues as well (such as surgeries, or intensive teeth cleaning, etc). My smaller dog has some anxiety going to the vet, but they always make him feel calm & reassured (as silly as that might sound). It is clean, the staff is friendly

Dr. J Boyd Thayn, DVM and his staff were very dishonest to my wife and I. We dropped our beautiful Daughter off (Blue-heeler/Australian-shepherd) the beginning of the week. She was very ill and Dr. Thayn had seen her the end of the previous week. Him and his staff had her all week and the Dr. wasn't in until Thursday... we didn't find this out until late that week. Dr. Thayn could never give us an answer to what she could have had and tried performing surgery on her Friday evening. We visited her on Saturday morning and she missed us dearly as we did her. She was laying in her own vomit
