These are hard times for everyone. For over twelve years we have worked to provide you with delicious, wholesome food. As we move forward with our service over the coming months we wanted you to be aware of the precautions we are taking to keep our community and valued patrons safe. We are now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner dine-in service Monday-Saturday 7 am-9 pm.

We are following the State of Alaska requirement to do so. We take your safety very seriously, and we feel confident in our ability to safely serve you so restrictions are continually being eased as we move forward. Braised lamb, feta cheese mint cream sauce, asparagus & parsnips and leafy green salad with lemon vinaigrette & bread.
Services
As a locally owned and operated restaurant, Turkey Red understands the importance of keeping it local. We source our ingredients from local farms whenever possible to support our region's businesses and to reduce the energy usage involved in importing outside ingredients. We hire locally as well to boost Palmer's economy with new jobs.

Service is not their strongest attribute. The food us good but takes forever to make. Most everyone seated already had their food. Only 3 people showed up at the same time as us. It took over 30 minutes to make 2 sandwiches. Thirty minutes. Seems crazy when I could make and bake a pizza faster than that. Or grill a burger patty and fix that up.
The food is delicious. Fresh. Crisp lettuce. But every time I've gone there it's been a wait. The longest I've waited was 45 minutes. That's a long time....

Not the best experience tonight. The food was tasty and the limited staff tried hard, that is why they got a 3 from me. My Moussaka is pictured. The potatoes were good but the cheese was burned so badly it ruined the dinner. The Brie dish was served without the walnuts and only had 4 pieces of bread with it. Even with limited staff they need to try harder.

This is the best fine dining food experience in the valley in my opinion. You can tell all the dishes are made from ingredients that are hand picked for quality. I've only had good experiences. My choice in
Breakfast: French Toast
Lunch: Lentil Burger
Dinner: Scaloppine ai Funghi
Because of the beer and wine selections it's a fabulous place for brunch.

I always see this place, but never tried it. Last Wednesday, my husband and I decided to go here with my parents who are visiting. Everything was so good and exceeded my expectations!

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here, but went with a small group last night. The food was such a disappointment. Very ordinary. Tiny, ordinary scallops. No mandarin orange dressing on the salad I ordered. Portobello mushroom pasta just so-so. Things were just amiss. The staff was trying hard and our waitress was apologetic for delays, which really weren’t so bad. I’m sorry the quality is so diminished.

Service is decent.

Food wasn't great. Ordered the steak salad but everything listed in the ingredient list on the menu didn't show up on my plate. I got a plate of mixed veggies with steak and parmesan and oil.

I couldn't even taste the balsamic vinegar. It was just oily raw veggies with unseasoned steak. I didn't have mushrooms or peppers in my salad either. Ugh. Never again.

We came here for dinner this Thursday. It's a cute restaurant with very nice vibe. Everyone is relaxed. The server is very friendly. I ordered the rockfish to try. It was cooked well, maybe a little too oily for me, but overall still very good. The cake was delicious, too. We devoured that shared cake in no time. Sitting and eating outside on a nice, breezy summer night was a great experience for all of us.

We ate here while in Palmer and were pleasantly surprised by the fine execution of a creative menu. Our only problem was everything looked so good, we ordered too much food with no room for the delicious desserts on display. Presentation was beautiful as well. My salmon was seasoned to perfection.

Came in during the weekday and this place was poppin '! We were asked if we had reservations (which we didn't) but luckily we were able to be seated. The staff was so attentive and friendly and the food was overall good. Bathrooms are not located in the restaurant but located outside the restaurant.

Their cake(s) and pie(s) are packed with just the right kind of flavor! Sometimes we buy the whole cake and share it with our friends. Its crazy because I dislike carrot cake and lemon tart, but I love getting both of these from them.

I did not expect to find such an elegant restaurant in such a humble building Palmer however, the fragrant aroma of sizzling steak being prepared got my mouth watering! At first, I thought I had made a mistake and was simply walking into a bakery, which has its own fragrance aromas. However, from the outset, the staff were friendly and inviting and the menu selections tantalizing. I opted for the rockfish instead of thre sirloin steak, and I had a Mediterranean salad along with the selection of breads. It has been a most rewarding meal! Delicious! Definitely a place for friends to enjoy fine dining

Their sourdough bread is real sourdough, which means they use a starter for their bread. It's delicious, and for purchase!

This has been my favorite find while working up in Wasilla/Palmer area. I had a few meals that were catered by this restaurant, and ordered once for pick up.

I had the roasted chicken with figs, it was excellent, well cooked served over toasted veggies and figs and green olives in the sauce.

They always seem to have a variety of their own breads they make in house to serve with meals.

I had the carrot cake for dessert, it was a bit more dense and had a buttercream frosting that was a bit different from how I have usually had carrot cake, but it was excellent.

This is the first time we ate here. We went to the Alaska steamers first and was looking for some food. We had friends talk highly of the turkey red so here we are. The service was good and the place was clean. The men's urinal was out of order but restroom was clean. Desserts were great

We were in Palmer looking for some eats and was told Turkey Red was the best in Palmer so we had to try to. When we arrived we were greeted and taken to a table right away (they did request we wash our hands before seating due to COVID). The restaurant is a interesting little place, clean and well organized. The menu is simple yet a well designed mix of choices. I settled on the "Bald Bill" sandwich which is basically a roast beef sandwich with toppings. The sandwich was pretty good, the bread with a firm outside and soft, warm inside. The beef was seasoned well and the toppings fresh

My fiance and I ventured to Palmer to try out this restaurant after hearing great things about it! We had an okay experience. This is a bakery restaurant, but I didn't really get the bakery vibe. It was more mid-fine dining than what we had expected.

They offer bread when you sit down and we gladly accepted and was excited to try the assortment they had given us but the breads were cold, the butter was cold and hard, and the oil was just... oil with no balsamic mixed in? Bummer

I ordered the Hot Turkey Guacamole and my husband got the CBLTA, or BLTCA or something like that (a BLT with chicken

Are here while I was in Wasilla Ak with some co-workers and while I thought the experience and staff were excellent I was not that impressed with the food. My sandwich was ok and the best part was the homemade bread. The soup lacked a little flavor as well. What I would like to do is come back in the morning and try their breakfast, some coffee and for sure some of their homemade treats. Everything in their bakery case looked simply delicious. My co-worker got one of their homemade chocolate chip cookies and I got to sneak a bite. While not the biggest fan of deserts this was a darn good cookie

As others have said this is the best restaurant in Palmer, and honestly could also stand in the rankings of top restaurants in the greater Anchorage area. The menu is very well thought out, they have ample daily specials, delicious desserts and baked good. They do several things well here/ I was very impressed with our meal, and definitely can't wait to see what specials they have when I return.

Service was friendly and attentive. It felt like we had a few different staff members playing different roles which seems to be their system. We never felt like we were being ignored so whatever

Turkey Red and the Rockfish
with the Olive Tapenade
Featuring the Steamed Rice and Veggies

It sounded like a band in my head.

But it isn't.

A couple months ago I went to Pangea and had a less than stellar experience (See my Pangea review for specifics). I ordered the rockfish and it was try and tasteless. I hesitated ordering here at Turkey Red, but I love Olive Tapenade.

I'm so glad I did. Everything I have heard about rockfish was confirmed in this meal.

I found myself taking smaller bites and chewing longer just to savor the flavor. Even so, the meal was gone far too soon
