Services
Our history of service to families in Northwest Iowa begins nearly 60 years ago, when Milt Warner opened our Spencer location in 1957, which began our tradition of compassionate caring service to families. Today, Warner Funeral Home is owned and operated by longtime Spencer area residents, Joel Roos, Brad Hawn and Jeff Swank.
Warner Funeral Home is owned and operated by longtime Spencer area residents, Joel Roos, Brad Hawn and Jeff Swank. We are very pleased to have a staff of caring professionals who are dedicated to provide real comfort to the families we serve. We understand how deeply grief and loss hurt people and families and we simply want to invite you to our upcoming grief support group. It's a non-threatening place where many people have found they can interact with others facing a similar loss and begin putting their lives back together. Her childhood years were spent in Western, NE, where she graduated from high school.
Losing a loved one is the most difficult experience life deals us. Understanding the tragedy of a loss, and coping with it, is an important and healthy part of the natural grieving process. For this reason, we believe that our service to you should not end with the funeral. Our Aftercare Consultant, Diane Sparks, calls on our families following the funeral to offer comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
Since we operate our own cremation center, your loved one never leaves our care. You have the assurance that our staff will be personally involved in the entire funeral process from beginning to end. You may have heard that choosing cremation means you cannot have a traditional funeral service, but this is not true.

The Warner Funeral Home experience after the death of my husband was done calmly and professionally. He died unexpectedly and quickly. Although we had a lot and a headstone nothing else had been done.(I strongly suggest to anyone to handle funeral arrangements in advance)They handled EVERYTHING from the church, the cantor, organist, lunch, cemetery to funeral cards!

No I don’t recommend this place, they are rude & are inconsiderate & didn’t follow through with doing their research in finding the deceased’s relatives.
Warner’s was extremely rude & didn’t care or express any condolences.
My relative passed away they contacted a non relative & when they said they wanted no part or were not going to pay for the funeral they didn’t bother checking to see if the deceased had relatives & went ahead & cremated our loved one without consent.
Didn’t offer a small service, but offered to send our loved

I have had a positive relationship with the business of Warner Funeral Home for many years. While having to deal with the unpleasant task of making arrangements for a family members services Warner’s have made it easy . The compassion and caring shown to our family has been above and beyond our expectations. Their advice was truly appreciated. A fine business of high quality service and employees.

Our mother/grandmother/great grandmother had the utmost care and consideration while in the care of Warner's Funeral Home. Casey was very attentive and concerned about keeping in contact with us. Mom passed away here in Arizona and Warner's took care of contacting a funeral home here, made arrangements for transportation back to Spencer and made the preparations for her viewing and service. She looked very peaceful. Thanks to Casey and the other staff members at Warner's.

Warner Funeral Home in Spencer, IA has been so supportive and caring during the unexpected loss of our loving son, Eric. They not only helped us through this numbing and confusing time but also well after this life changing event with grief suppost, memory book and phone calls checking on our well being etc. Attention to detail was fantastic. We thank all of you for your kindness and thoughtfulness during and after our time of need., especially Casey. A heartfelt thank you for everything.
