I had never been to Yolo before, but had heard nothing but praise. I was surprised to find out that it lived up to the hype. The menu was app based meaning I had to scan a barcode with my phone to access it, which once I saw it, I couldn't believe I hadn't seen before. The food offering was diverse enough to stump me when trying to make a decision, but not so large I wanted to give up. Ultimately I went with the special, Swedish Meatloaf and I was so glad I did. I'm a huge meatloaf fan so I can be quite picky, but it was so moist and had a sauce that almost bordered on sweet. I can

Super attentive service. Neptune Salmon (with crabmeat, asparagus, saffron rice with bearnaise sauce) was generously portioned and smartly seasoned. We enjoyed the fresh-out-of-the-oven loaf of bread. Nice range of cocktails but only a handful of draft beers. Outside covered seating was pleasantly peaceful.

Food: Really subpar. Had the grilled cheese and pulled pork sandwich. Grilled cheese was mediocre, tomato soup had bits in it and the pulled pork tasted like hotdogs. The bun was basically the same one McDonalds uses.
Service: Our service matched the food. Subpar.

The food was very good and bartenders are great. My 2 complaints are, I was there for a private function and where I was seated at the back of the restaurant, end of the divider wall. The staff the entire time kept walking between me and the wall to get through the room bumping my chair while I was drinking and eating. They should of taken the extra couple steps to walk around our table down the center of the room. This was very irritating and unprofessional. It wasn't 1 or 2 times. It was every server nearly ever time going in and out of the kitchen right door. There was very little room to squeeze

One of the perks of having one of the first reservations of the evening is having the opportunity to take your time to decide what you'd like.
We were sat immediately and given the option to scan a QR code for the cocktail/bar menu and dinner menu; however, when Jill (our server) came to take our drink orders, she brought paper menus for our perusal.
There was a bit of a wait for our cocktails, but trust me, they're worth the wait. I had the raspberry martini, which was absolutely delicious (not flowery at all).

What a fantastic meal! For years I've driven past this restaurant and wondered about it. I was looking for a restaurant that takes reservations in the time of COVID and I'm glad I found this. The ambiance is great and the service was awesome! We had the sampler and the stuffed mushrooms were the best part. Salads were good. The Yolo was better of the two. Then on to entrees. In our never ending quest to try new places to dine we drove out to East Amherst for dinner at YOLO (You Only Live Once). Dinner was well worth the drive. The restaurant is modern looking, neat and spacious. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our server quickly came to our table with water and inquired about beverages. This is for sure a nice date night restaurant. Night atmosphere and great craft cocktails. The steak salad was the absolute best and the creme brûlée was the best I've ever had.
The steak flatbread was over but the bread was a little over cooked and dry. The steak was cooked to perfection.
My husbands chicken wings were pretty standard and the stuffed haddock was pretty good. The saffron rice was okay but nothing to write home about.
If I had to pick a star of the evening it would definitely the pina colada scallops. Never had anything like; kinda sad it was only a special.

Was in the area and looking for some dinner. Pleasantly surprised to see a free cocktail with my check in! Used it for an aperol spritz. It was delicious although there was a random mint leaf garnish that didn't affect the taste at all. We also happened upon a 1/2 off wine special. Awesome! Got a nice Tempranillo that was enjoyable. I ordered a filet meal and I have no idea the actual size of of steak but I normally order a six ounce and it was definitely more than that. The steak was prepared exactly to my requested medium. Lately....I've been disappointment with the take out service at multiple restaurants. I feel sick thinking about how much money I've wasted so far. I am not the only one feeling this way.
I am a usual at YOLO...currently they are opened for pickup...your food order is delivered to your vehicle upon arrival... Wed-Sat from 3-7pm (last I checked).
My friend ordered us a number of meals, steak, salmon dinners, chicken milanese, wings, and dessert. NO COMPLAINTS! So good!
We're ordering again soon.

Yolo is a hidden gem on Transit Road and is our go-to local spot. The food and drinks are top-notch and every staff member from the bar to the servers to the management is friendly and professional. We love seeing Kaylea, Ron, Jill, Rick, Matt, and Justin. Every single one of them is the best at what they do and so friendly! We haven't had a bad thing on the menu. I would highly recommend.

The steak sandwich was tasty. I wish it was a bit more tender, but nonetheless I'd give it another try. The fries on the side were good, they had a nice amount of pepper on them giving it that extra flavor. The free cocktail I ordered (see picture) was amazing. The perfect blend of citrus, coffee, spice, and chocolate. I'd highly recommend ordering this cocktail, especially if you enjoy spice.

I very nice looking place that offers very good food and drinks. My wife and myself found our way here again. This time my wife ordered a salad, it was a nice size salad and she enjoyed it very much. See did say that next time, she would skip the pecan encrusted chicken that was optional. I can understand why, it looked more like a thick crusted chicken fingers. Totally different than what we expected it to be. I had the fried chicken sandwich. All I can say is, de-lic-ious I will be ordering that again when I return. As for drinks, I am a St. Péar guy and the wife loved the grapefruit martini

I cannot express how amazing this place is! From the bartenders, to servers, hosts and owner! Absolutely amazing environment for families to come and enjoy the food and time! They even accommodate large parties for big events! Call them and go try the stuffed mushrooms! Or ask the bartenders to create you a cocktail, they know their stuff! Will keep coming here as often as i can!

They have a great brunch menu with enough items to please a family. I have gone here a few times and cannot believe I hadn't competed a review. Well Sunday my son asked if we could go ..so off we went.
We order peach pancakes, french toast and a turkey club less the cranberries.
As usual the service was nice. I also tried a mimosa which was great.
This restaurant is huge, they even have a space up front for a private party where the doors close. Many times we have witnessed small parties for either a graduation or birthday party.

YOLO is a decent restaurant. I had the Cioppino, which is not something that I had tried before. It was a seafood stew, and I added pasta to it. It was good, I felt the seafood was a little overcooked, especially the scallops. I also tried my friend's steak sandwich, which was nicely cooked but a little salty. The fries were good. Overall it was nothing special but nothing to complain about either. I can't say I will come back tomorrow, but overall it was a good experience. One drawback was the service, which was very slow. We had dinner here on a weekday night. The atmosphere was nice and we were seated quickly. They had a special on wine where bottles were 50% off so we ordered a Rose. Overall, the food was OK but the service was slow. To me, the best part of the experience was the complimentary bread and butter because the bread was warm and delicious. Nice atmosphere, with attire ranging from slacks and button downs to three-piece suits. The menu has a nice variety of standards and specials. The hostess and waitress (Sally) were both friendly and attentive. Excellent variety of mixed drinks and beer. They mixed a nice bourbon Ricky.

I did have one issue with communication - I called ahead to make a late reservation (9 PM) for food and drinks. We were celebrating babe's birthday and I didn't realize the dining area and bar were completely separate.
