Dr. Laurie Binder LAc is a Licensed Acupuncturist and a Nurse Practitioner. She has over 20 years of clinical experience and has practiced Chinese medicine for well over a decade. Laurie specializes in fertility and women's health. Her practice also provides comprehensive care for stress, anxiety, insomnia, headaches and digestive issues.
On your first visit, expect that the practitioner to inquire about your health history. Other inquires would be about your sleeping habits and your tolerance to cold or heat, your diet and digestion. After taking your detailed health history, the practitioner will likely perform a tongue assessment and check your pulses according to TCM.
If you are looking to get pregnant, i can't imagine working with any other acupuncturist. Laurie is really more of a coach than just a doctor. After a lengthy consultation she was able to assess what parts of my body needed the most help and from there suggested i make diet and lifestyle changes to go with acupuncture that all got my body into top condition to conceive and subsequently carry a baby.

I truly wish I could give Dr. Laurie Binder more than "5 Stars" as she's worth at least 10! She has truly transformed my life in a very short time. I started meeting with Laurie about 5 weeks ago, having never done acupuncture and not knowing what to expect. She was so kind, ebullient, compassionate and patient (I ask a LOT of questions) while explaining the procedure, the needle point placements, the history of acupuncture and the benefits of the therapy.
Just by taking a quick glance at my tongue and feeling my pulse, she was able to diagnose a Spleen Qi Deficiency. Obviously, I had no clue

I started going to Laurie for pain. It was my first time receiving acupuncture and really didn't know what to expect. Laurie's office is comfortable, relaxing and quiet. Laurie took the time to discuss my concerns. She really listened and really made me feel comfortable my first time. I am very active; I was in a lot of pain and discomfort and did not know how to manage that. I have seen Laurie for just over one month regarding weight loss. I have lost 10lbs so easily. Her acupuncture and her diet sheet is amazing. There was no pain but lots of gain (loss) in weight! I have never been so happy with any other method of weight loss, her scheme is enjoyable and certainly gets the results.

I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease by an E.R. doctor during a severe attack while driving through Downtown LA. She (The E.R. doc) told me to go see an ENT so I did. I found the highest rated ENT on Yelp in LA and went to him. He told me that the Meniere's diagnosis is usually wrong due to the disease's many symptoms and relative rareness. After multiple visits with him and an audiologist, he confirmed that I had Meniere's. He told me that there is no cure and that I would need to reduce my sodium intake and then he gave me a prescription for steroids to help prevent any additional
