
Bowin Funeral Home was founded in 1885 by J.E. Yeamans and Charles N. Yeamans. Originally a hardware store, they added a mortuary in the early 1890s. In 1920, Glen O. Yeamans took over the funeral home from his father Charles. In 1946, Donne Gordon purchase the funeral home from the Yeamans family, and Yeamans Mortuary became Yeamans and Gordon Memorial Chapel.
In 1973, Pritchard Grimm purchased the funeral home, which he owned until 1989. In 1989, Darrel and Rhonda Brenner purchased the funeral home, changing its name in 2001 to Brenner Funeral Home. In 2007, Dallas Bowin purchased the funeral home from the Brenners.

Bowin Funeral Home has 1 large viewing room, which can be divided into 2 smaller rooms. The chapel is small, accommodating about 50-70 people. If a larger facility is needed, there are many venues around Washington County able to accommodate services with over 1000 in attendance. Please give us a call, and we will be happy to assist you.
