Absolutely amazing service! Dr. Johnson takes the time to really listen to you and your concerns. I've been taking my cat here for about 2 years and every time it has been a great experience. Dr. Johnson received her undergraduate degree from OSU and her DVM from Ross University. After practicing in Salem and at an urgent care facility in Tualatin for several years, she knew she wanted to start her own practice.

My girl was pulling out her hair from a flea allergy i took he in and I felt like a bad pet owner. They made me feel like I did the right thing by bringing her in on a emergency visit. Yes its going to take time for her fur to grow back but they did a great job. She is no longer over grooming she isn't pulling out her hair. She is playful and feeling tons better after 2 shots and 2 topical treatments. Thank you for helping my girl and letting me know things happen and she is getting better every day. By the way she growned the whole way there and back. A whole whopping 2 miles hahaha

PAWS is great. ALL the staff are kind, friendly and sympathetic over the phone aAND in person. When I was a brand new cat Mom, I would call when I thought something might be wrong and they would ask me questions, tell me what is typical behavior, what problems to keep an eye out for, what is an emergency, things I can do at home to help, and always what they had available for appointments if I did want to bring my darling cat in, and/or if they didn't have any openings, how I I could come in on an urent care/work-in basis AND how much it would cost me.

My sister and I called to come in for an emergency appointment, they got us right in, but the vet we saw was incredibly unprofessional. We were not there for a checkup, but there for issues causing our puppy immediate pain yet she felt the need to delve into where we purchased the dog, how much we paid for him, being extremely judgmental of how he was bred. We did not come here to for anything but to help our baby with pain he was having with extreme diarrhea and yet she felt the need to go over issues with his breathing. I've been the one to take our dog in here since the pandemic. We were trying to get his ear infection taken care of so we ordered some special test that they quoted $220. Then when it came time to pay it was $270. And one day my sister helped me trim the dog's nails. The very next day he went in to paws and they had a nail trim on the receipt. My son had to have his best friend Fred the Bassett put down today. After calling the office this morning before Dr . Johnson even arrived, they took all of his information and as soon as she got to the office, she called my son. They talked, Fred had been a patient of hers. Dylan took him in immediately after talking with her. They listened and… evaluated...and from the story I got..."were the best." They were so kind...gave them time to be alone with him and say goodbye ...all the time they needed. They took paw prints, made a plaster imprint for keepsakes. I believe Dr. Johnson cried

Dr. Johnson and staff are amazing! She is beyond through with her exams. She caught something on my dog that 3 other vets looked over. Since then my dog has had a surgery to remove the mass that was found. I am beyond grateful that Dr. Johnson took the time.
Very recently we had to put down one of our older dogs. Dr. Johnson was very compassionate and very professional. Her staff was also super amazing during this really hard time. We felt supported and that's what we needed.
We live over an hour a way but that is no issue. This clinic is worth it!!! The staff is worth it!!!

This office has taken on too much for one vet. We were pleased in the past with Dr. Johnson when she was not so busy. Now I will never take another pet to her. She was cold hearted and in too much of a rush. You can not have an “urgent care”, regular appointments, and be on call for farm animals in a one vet office. We brought our older dog in for… an obvious bowel blockage. She insisted it was pancreatitis even though the test was negative. I asked for an X-ray but she had to leave to go take care of a lamb and left the tech to make a treatment plan. Sent us home with oral pain

Absolutely the best vet around. My three dogs hated going to the vet until we found Dr. Johnson at Paws. Her and her staff treat my dogs like family and are always willing to answer any questions or concerns we have. Her skill and care are impressive to say the least, but her compassion for her patients is second to none. Won't take my furbabies anywhere else.

The staff was wonderful and very kind when I took my cat in on the 20th who had been staying since Sept 8 with her previous owner due to losing our home in Holiday Farm Fire. Unfortunately momma didn't respond… to treatment so we went back on 21st further tests showed very bad news. I recommend this place to everyone as the place to take your furbabies...Thank y'all for helping us
