Garden Grove Montessori Academy is a preschool and kindergarten providing the education and nuturing environment for the developmental needs of 2 years to 6 years old children in the beautiful city of Garden Grove in Orange County, California. Our academic program is based on the Montessori method of education that recognizes and develops each child's full potential.
Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and an educator, developed this method of educating the children. Dr. Montessori introduced the "prepared environment" in which there is concept of freedom, structure, and order. This "prepared environment" provides the opportunities where the child achieves inner discipline, self-management, and confidence.

LOVE THIS SCHOOL! My daughter has a speech delay and OH MY GOSH! She has advanced so much since being here!! LOVE ALL THE TEACHERS!! They are so caring and loving to the children. I love when they let me know how she's processing and what she needs help on. I definitely recommend enrolling your child here!

I just called to inquire about enrolling my daughter. The woman told me that they don't take children with disabilities. Her response was "How am I supposed to help them if I'm not trained?" Uhh.. you get trained! It's not that hard to learn new things! As a school, you should understand the value of learning.

My daughter started attending GGMA May 2019 just before her third birthday. After touring several Montessori preschools in the area, GGMA stood out as the appropriate preschool for my child. During visit, I noticed a few things. The staff was very friendly and engaged with the children. The environment was very positive and diverse which is really important to me. The children appeared to be very confident as well as articulate for little ones. The director explained the child centered Montessori method and assured my husband and I that academics were embedded in the program.

This school does not even deserve the 1 star. We told the staff all about our child. He is 3 and not potty trained and has some developmental delays which we told the about before signing up. And brought him in to meet the staff before he started. Today was his first day and last day we got a call after about 5 hours saying that they can not handle my son. He has delays so he kinda just does his own thing. He does not have a temper or any he is calm and curious. If your child is not a perfect model child this is not the place for them. We told the staff all about him and when I picked him up

I want to remain open minded and perhaps I caught the staff member at a bad moment, but I stopped by GGMA during my lunch break today, I was excited to learn about the Montessori approach and the program in general and instead I was immediately shut down and told my son was too young. This is the first time I was unable to at least sign up my son onto a waitlist, given a packet, an application, a warm welcome. Instead I could tell the staff member did not want to talk to me, i was told it would be $140 just to sign up, and I was not even encouraged to come back. I was even told that sign up. My

I have sent both my boys here. My youngest still has one more year here before he starts Kindergarten. I've never second guessed my decision to bring my kids here. Ms Kiran (the director) is so sweet and understanding of each family's dynamic. She knows all the children so well and I've always felt comfortable knowing they take such good care of my boys.
The school is well-kept and taken care of. All the teachers are attentive and take time to get to know each kid individually. My younger son is still attending now and usually needs more attention due to his allergies and eczema

This is a great school and had helped my son so much. My son was 3 when he came to this school and there is a night and day change with him. Between his sight words, counting and knowledge of colors, I feel that he is ready for kindergarten. The staff are great and truly care about the children. I would recommend this location to any of my friends that were looking.

When my family first moved to Orange County I was a little overwhelmed not only because of the move but also to having the kids adjust into their new surrounding and schools. I visited 4 other schools before I came to this school and once I stepped into this small but clean facility I felt a sense of ease and relief.
My youngest had attended this school for 3 wonderful years. He was always so excited to go to school and everyday when we would drive home he would tell me what activities he did that day and talk about each child and teacher with such excitement.

My family and I cannot say enough good things about Garden Grove Montessori Academy.
We had our son in a different preschool before coming to GGMA and he hated school. We knew this was a bad fit for him and searched for a new place. We found GGMA as a suggestion from one of our friends.
What a difference this place has made. He now loves coming to school and loves learning in a classroom setting! All of the staff at GGMA are kind, helpful, and genuinely have the kids best interest at heart. Special shout out to Ms. Karin and Ms. Maria who go way above and beyond for the kids.

We had another baby, and the logistics of taking our daughter to GG Montessori necessitated looking at schools closer to us (we were commuting 30 minutes to GGM). Everyday our hearts hurt as we long to return to GGM. EVERY teachers has so much love for the kids I don't understand how they can be real people. Disney princesses maybe, that would explain it. After trying a couple of other schools out and being disappointed because of the high bar that Garden Grove Montessori set, we are seriously considering throwing her in an Uber every morning. If you are considering GGM as a school for your

Fantastic preschool experience for our son. We were at another school that turned out to be a glorified daycare. Moving him to GGMA was a long overdue but great choice in the end. Mrs Karen and Mrs Maria are wonderful teachers and the entire staff care so much for the kids. The program is highly focused on education and not TV. I used to walk in everyday to pick up my son to find him sitting on a mat watching TV, now I find him working on projects, activities and playing. What a great experience for all of us. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a preschool to prepare your kids for Kinder

My Son Maximus has been attending Garden Grove Montessori Academy for the past 2 1/2 Years. As parents one of the hardest decisions is where to send your kids to school. We faced this decision 2 1/2 years ago and now I can look back an feel proud of the choice we made. Our son has been well taken care off. His love for education is directly credited to the wonderful teachers at GGMA. I will always keep in touch with this school and will continue to update the teachers of my son's academic success. To the many parents that will probably read this review, do not miss your opportunity to have

I had done a prior review for my first son so instead of editing my original review, I'm adding a second one for my second child plus he deserves his own review.
My youngest started off school a bit more head strong than his older brother and like his brother, he wasn't potty trained yet.
The teachers were very patient with him and he eventually got potty trained after fighting it for so long.
He used to refused to do school work but now he loves to learn. They have made learning so much fun for the kids, my son is now very inquisitive of everything. My son loves this school and

My daughter went here for a little over a year. She left 2 years ago to go to kindergarten. She was equip with the knowledge she needed to do well in kindergarten. Since then I had to enroll my younger son elsewhere because we moved and I have not been able to find a school that is as good as GGMA.
Many times we review things that is reflects an outcome immediately, this is in review of an affect 2 years later. I can say this is a good school with good teachers.

I'm so thankful to be able to have my son become apart of the GGMA family. We were previously at a different preschool, but their teacher to student ratio just didn't seem like they were giving my son the attention that he needed. When we initially came in for a tour with GGMA, I was very surprised to know that there was a waiting list, and that the school's director - Ms. Kiran, keeps the class sizes small on purpose! Coming from a previous school that seemed to enroll every child that walked through the door - this was definitely refreshing.

My husband & I enrolled our son in Garden Grove Montessori after his 3rd birthday. He's been attending school here for about 3 months now. When we used to live in LA county, our son attended preschool at a big name "corporation". Despite being a big name corporation, we never really felt like our son got much out of being there, academically. On top of that, he hated going to school. It was such a battle getting him to part with us the three days out of the week that he went.
At GGMA, he immediately felt at home. He looks forward to going to school every morning, and he takes

We were so lucky to find this school. The employees are very caring, encouraging and are great motivators.
We enrolled our son after he turned 3. This is one of the few schools that will accept your child if they are not potty trained and they will potty train your child for you. What a blessing...
It hasn't been a year yet and our son has learned his ABCs, counting, shapes, colors, the planets, phonetics, writing and the countries in South America. Not only do they teach academic materials, they also teach life skills like manners, how to use the bathroom, cleaning up, getting dress, etc...
