Came from Austin and we attempted to eat here, however never got past the hostess stand. We had a party of 6 and while at the hostess stand we asked for a table for 6 (without being greeted or acknowledged). The girl looked at us with a very annoyed look on her face and then proceeded to scan her table guide with her middle finger. Looked at the manager and said we have a reservation and they will be showing up in 15 min. The manager then told us there was another restaurant around the corner. Wow! We so lucked out on this one. Driving late on a Wednesday night from Austin, we were hungry and found limited options on 290 for a restaurant so late. We yelped and found a taco place we were going to try on Main Street in Brenham but it was closed. We moved over to a pizza joint that wasn't really what we wanted and then we saw across the street - ninety six west. It was Christmas time so the square was all lit up and decorated and this restaurant had outdoor seating. The menu was limited but had good variety. We wanted to have a nice dinner out the night before we left Brenham - so glad we chose this spot! Their farm to table elevated menu and drinks were awesome. I had the sous vide pan seared chicken breast with veggie and mashed potatoes - enjoyed every single last delicious bite! Everything was perfectly seasoned and served nice and hot. My husband had the wagyu flatbread pizza - it was excellent! Flavorful and perfectly prepared. I went with my daughter and had dinner here. We split a bottle of wine. I had the strawberry and pecan salad with the Kobe beef added to the top. It was hands down one of the best steak toppers I have ever had. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was nice the wait staff was nice. If we had some live music there would have been a party going on! We ate outside this time but we have eaten inside before and it is a lovely restaurant. They have artwork on the walls that is really cool and eclectic and you can actually purchase the art on the walls.

The 44 Farms sliders were yummy but skimpy on the aioli.

Service was slow and neglectful at times. Waited for awhile for server to come back when our menus were clearly down and we were clearly ready to order.
Didn't refill water once.

Oh my goodness, I will definitely be back if I have the chance. Our food was sooo good!!! I would definitely recommend everything we had. Got to visiting with people next to us and they raved about lettuce wraps. Something going on when we walked end, we were encouraged to leave and just call back. I'm so glad I didn't give in, instead asked to just wait at the bar. What a treat. Austin, I hope I remember his name right, bartender was very personable, and ended up being our waiter. Overall great service and delicious food. A must try when in Brendan!

So delicious. We started with cocktails and sliders 44 (fantastic) our server Robert was perfect. Dinner was delicious from a summer salad to a wagyu steak. Finishing with the Italian cream cake and a chocolate implosion (? I may have e the name wrong) but rich and delicious. Aside from the excellent food the atmosphere is fresh with fun local art. If you like the cows check out Ray Hadaway, seriously fun art great colors. Trying to decide which one I need!

Fantastic found in the middle of the medical center!
I was staying in the hotel for 5 days as my teenage daughter was in the ICU, so it was a difficult time for me and my wife.
My son and his wife wanted to come down and be with us that weekend and I was able to meet them on the terrace. It was a refreshing few hours with them. It was also a great spot to catch up with some friends who came down to support us.
They bar had one of the best Old Fashioned's I have ever had. They knew how to do it right, down to the single large ice cube.

Hands down the best restaurant we could find while visiting Brenham, Texas. We searched endless online reviews, talked to locals and tried all the top recommendations and for us this restaurant took the gold. I will say, the service and bar were slow and seemed distracted, but the food and cocktails were excellent.

Food is absolutely delicious! Had the roasted garlic hummus as an appetizer, very tasty and had enough spice to give it a little zing. Had the wagyu steak flatbread and smoked gouda macaroni as main course and side. Steak was tender, flatbread was crisp, and macaroni was creamy. Accompanied it all with a fabulous, smooth red wine (the name of which I forgot). And ended up taking a very yummy chocolate cake to-go. Great selection of food, wine, and drinks. Friendly staff and classy ambience.

Went to this place back in November 2020. Sat at the bar with my wife. Bartender was great. Talked football. Food and service was great.
Went April 2....reservation at 7:30 for 5. Was asked to sit outside until our table finished dessert. 8pm we are seated. Ordered drinks and food. Drinks came out. Ordered second round. No food. Over an hour and a half, food came out. Our waitress, Annie, was apologetic. Almost 2 hours to get food.
Kitchen service is poor. Very sad to hear that they just got backed up.
Will go somewhere else next visit to brenham.

We really enjoyed our time there last weekend. It was very relaxed and the staff was attentive and friendly. They had a good menu that was too extensive. We had the sliders and the Wagu steak flatbed. I enjoyed both. My wife liked the sliders more than the flatbed. She thought the goat cheese was a little overpowering, bit I thought the acid of the balsamic worked well with it. We'd definitely go back the next time there in Brenham.

We absolutely love this place!! The chef is fantastic, and the service is always great. The chef features steak specials, daily scratch made soups and other specials. We love the flat breads, quail & nachos. We had a ribeye special last time that was fantastic. Great wine and craft cocktail selections as well!

For an appetizer we split their bacon wrapped quail. It's served on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, where were very savory and creamy. The quail breasts are cooked well, with great flavor.
