I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Sacramento area since 1994 and have a passion for helping people. I provide counseling for adults, individuals and families, specializing with adolescent issues while also helping their parents and families. I also provide private mediation for child custody issues and the development of parenting plans to assist parents in their efforts to co-parent.

Services
My primary role as a Child Custody Recommending Counselor is to facilitate a safe and constructive environment so that parents can reach agreements with regard to custody, transitions, vacation, and holiday schedules. We will also co-create a list of parenting guidelines, known as "Standards of Conduct" to better equip the two households in their co-parenting efforts.
I sometimes think I've seen it all in terms of stressful situations, but I believe that Child Custody Mediation (officially known as Child Custody recommending Counseling "CCRC"), has to be one of the most nerve-racking experiences for parents going through divorce. I understand that the stakes are incredibly high because it's your children and their well-being that's on the table.
Something I say to my clients frequently is, "Without awareness we can't grow, but growth is a choice and a conscious effort-it just doesn't happen on its own or by simply talking to me." I will not consider our efforts to be complete unless you are positively functioning in life and growing past what ever issue brought you to my office in the first place.
Be it court ordered or private, my first task is to assess the viability of reconnecting an estranged parent with their child. My goal is to help people during this process move past blame, hurt and anger in effort to reestablish a healthy bond.
Initially the foundation can be very fragile and I try to guide all participants to understand what healthy boundaries, respect and trust need to be in place to rebuild a relationship that is rewarding for everyone.For those clients with insurance, an insurance billing will be filled out at the end of each month by me so they may seek direct reimbursement from their provider.

It's not about who's a better parent; it's about working together for the sake of your child's healthy development and happiness-they will thank you later for what you are about to do now. There's a vital and necessary shift divorcing parents must make to move beyond their conflicts and get to a place where the relationship enters a "business relationship" mode devoid of emotional reactivity and upset.

Where to start? Wendy is a crook, plain and simple! Wendy SHAME on you and your pathetic attempt at offering counseling to families. You are so extremely biased in your "opinion" concerning how families should navigate complex family issues. Do not use this woman for anything as she is completely incompetent to use as a MFT. No surprise she herself is SINGLE. Just look at the other reviews .....you have been warned!

There are plenty of therapists in the Sacramento area. I strongly suggest that you do your research.
We made the mistake and did not and $7,000 later we were in a worse situation from when we first met Ms.Campbell.
She seemed more attentive in getting her money than trying to get to the core of our problem. Only after leaving her and seeking help elsewhere was there relief.
Chose carefully and I would never give
Ms Campbell an endorsement. She did more harm than good. I hope this helps you on your choice

Wendy Campbell is amazing. Simply put, without a doubt I would recommend her to anyone who has been through a high conflict divorce and had any type of Parental Alienation or Estrangement Issues with their children. Wendy is thoughtful, respectful, professional, and very educated on various methodologies and relationship dynamics. Above and beyond that Wendy actually cares more about helping people rather than running up a large bill. But I won and she and her corrupt attorney lost. But in the end she keeps all the ill gotten gains $$$$ MONEY! You are absolute corrupt garbage Wendy Campbell. Wendy Campbell was very thorough in her review of our family to ensure she could provide the best recommendations for the children and to ensure father and I could come to agreements to co-parent the children effectively. Our situation was somewhat of an unusual situation where it took place in two phases due to nature of situation involving high conflict divorce and custody battle. Wendy was recommended primarily based on her stellar reputation within the Sacramento Family court system. It's also worth noting this was our 2nd attempt at CCRC mediation and the situation was far from ideal involving a high conflict divorce and custody.
Wendy was extremely professional and competent in handling contested custody under the most difficult of situations, ie: safety and abuse allegations, CPS case, and ex relocated children without a court order, etc. I felt as though Wendy was fair and non-judgmental, she took the time to understand the issues and gave each party an opportunity

I was recommended by the court to use Wendy for my custody affairs. I paid her 2000 stipend, after 3 sorry sessions , I mentioned to her that I am not
Interested in continuing with her since she was not interested in my concerns. In a nut shell please never hire Wendy. She has major anxiety issues. I felt very uncomfortable around her and her demeanor was immature. She also did not refunds

I was forced by my ex's attorney to use Ms. Campbell. I attended all the sessions and really thought she might actually get where I was coming from but boy was I wrong!!! She can't tell when a 10 year old has been coached to lie over the truth. It was a waste of money and she didn't have the children's best interest at heart unless we kept paying and seeing her. My ex lied over and over again, it was like pulling teeth but in family court and referred mediators that's how it works, as long as they keep getting paid. I would run the other way and find someone else to mediate
