Fuqua Construction originated in 1979, when Max Fuqua began building in the residential market. With his first church construction project in Oxford, Kansas in 1984, he discovered a passion to work with churches and the direction of the business has reflected that priority. In 1984, Fuqua & Doerksen Construction, Inc. was formed with business partner, Terry Doerksen.
Terry had a long history as a church construction supervisor. With their combined experience, Max and Terry began working on behalf of churches, teaming with design professionals to plan, design and build worship facilities that enhance and live out the mission statement of each individual congregation we form a construction relationship with.

Our preferred method of contracting is Design Build. We work together as a team: owner, builder and design professional, to design and build your project. Your mission will always be at the forefront in the process. We have experience with many architects and are willing to work with the architect of your choice.

Fuqua Construction, Inc. is a Design Build company with Christian principles serving churches in the construction industry. It is our passion to build facilities that will be used to serve the Lord. Fuqua Construction Inc. began our years of experience in church construction in 1984. We have been providing services for congregations building new church buildings as well as additions and renovations.
In addition to church construction, Fuqua Construction Inc. provides construction services in the commercial and medical field as we work with nursing homes, hospice organizations and medical clinics. We bring the same attitude of respect, quality workmanship and professionalism to our commercial projects that we have developed with our church associates.
