Since we base our designs on 40+ years of railroad operating and engineering experience and our familiarity with current railroad design and construction standards, we are able to develop track layouts that satisfy railroad industrial development managers and engineers with a minimum of do-overs.
We encourage our clients to have potential sites evaluated and qualified for track construction very early in the site selection process even if the sites are located adjacent to an active mainline because each railroad establishes design and operating criteria that must be followed in order to obtain a "will serve" letter or similar assurance of rail service to the site.

We rely on the experience gained during more than 37 years of railway engineering, construction, inspection, maintenance and operations and on outstanding sub-consultants* and associates to provide the following services: planning for new rail facilities, assisting with due diligence related to site selection/acquisition, conducting track feasibility studies for Industrial Parks and other industrial sites, developing track concept and detailed designs, coordinating with railroad engineering departments for approval of track layouts, compiling custom specifications for track construction, assembling bid packages, leading pre-bid and pre-construction meetings and observing and documenting the quality and quantity of contractors' work.
Provided consulting services for over 13,600' of interchange, storage and service tracks* for a major industrial project in Mooresboro, North Carolina. Developed conceptual plans for track systems to serve proposed Industrial Parks in Halifax County, NC and Laurens County, GA. Provided consulting services for three ethanol track projects at fuel terminals in Selma and Greensboro, NC and in Chesapeake, VA.
