Did you know that treating an injury on Day 2 versus Day 9 leads to 3 WEEKS FASTER return to sport?! While professional athletes have the luxury of a Sports Doctor at their fingertips, our current health care system traditionally dictates a confusing and tedious path to care. You book an initial appointment with a primary care physician or with an Urgent Care and leave with a prescription for a pain medication/ anti inflammatory, and rest.
As a practice committed to setting a new bar providing immediate care for athletes we are always looking for new team members who pride themselves on accepting challenges and have a strong desire to help others. We only accept team members into our practice who have the drive, passion, and enthusiasm for helping the patients we serve.
For the past two decades, ACL injury prevention programs have been a strong focus in the field of sports medicine. Various programs have been created as a way to encourage and promote proper techniques for athletes who may be at high risk of sustaining an ACL injury. ACL prevention programs include targeted exercises that address muscle strengthening, muscle recruitment patterns, landing and deceleration patterns, proprioception, and plyometrics.
The American Physical Therapy Association states that back pain is the most commonly experienced form of pain for Americans. In fact, one in every four Americans has sustained some sort of back pain in the past three months. Back pain commonly results from a muscle strain or injury; however, sometimes the back pain you're experiencing is the result of sciatica.
Your elbows, wrists, and hands are used thousands of times throughout the day. Just think about your typical morning routine: you get out of bed, brush your teeth, shower, get dressed, make breakfast, and begin your commute to work. In just that short amount of time, your elbows, wrists, and hands performed hundreds of different movements!

I can't thank Resurgent enough. After getting injured following a half marathon in 2019, I went to two different physical therapy groups before finding Resurgent. The other PT groups were helpful in getting me back to very short distances, but Resurgent was able to identify the issues in my running form that caused the injury to begin with. They worked with me to improve my form and increase strength where I needed it to set me up for success. They were also so kind and kept me motivated when I was struggling. I just completed my second half marathon pain-free, and I know that couldn't have happened

Aziz Hasan is very talented, hard working Sports Physical Therapist and a tremendous communicator.
Had lower back pain(have never experienced lower back pain)-wasted 8 weeks going to acupuncture, chiropractor, medical doctor and bodyworker. Without any long term results.
First visit with Aziz-he was confident within 3-4 weeks I would be back to 100%. His regiment worked perfectly, within 3 1/2 weeks I was able to continue my running and workouts. Admire his work and very grateful for what he was able to do.

I had the best experience with resurgent sports rehab!!!! Everyone there was extremely nice and welcoming! My physical therapist Spencer was amazing and made sure he gave the right exercises to make sure you keep progressing. And having a 1-1 session each time I’d great so that way each person gets individual card and attention! Highly recommend going if you like one on one treatment!!!

I am an avid triathlete and I went to go see Kendal regarding a pain in the ball of my foot that was painful enough that it hurt to walk much less run. Kendal was amazing! She was incredibly patient and thorough. She spent the needed time to analyze my gait, mechanics of my foot, run cadence, shoes, etc!! At the end it was a plantar plate injury. She put together a series of exercises, stretches and drills to get me back on my training schedule. I am actively training again and feel stronger than before my injury. Many thanks to the entire team at Resurgent!

Over the years, Resurgent has helped me, my family and friends recover from many sports related injuries related to triathlon, lacrosse, track and other sports. The key is Kerri and team don't just treat the pain. They figure out the cause of the injury and develop a plan so you come back stronger and prevent future injuries. I don't go to the doctor for an injury. I go to Resurgent.

We were referred to Kerri from my daughter's swim coaches and another athlete for shoulder pain. Kerri's exam was much more thorough than the orthopedic doctor and she was able to properly diagnose the injury. The targeted stretches and strengthening exercises have resulted in complete recovery. If we have any other sports injuries Kerri will be our first call.

I highly recommend Resurgent Sports Rehab! They were my "last resort" after being shuffled through doctors and specialists for 6 months! A friend recommended I try Morgan! I am so glad I did! She was the only specialists who have me an actual diagnosis! She treated me, gave me a program and set me on the path to running stronger than before! I am so extremely thankful for Morgan and Resurgent Sports Rehab! They are highly trained professionals who get results for their patients! Thanks again Morgan!! I'll send pics from the Boston Marathon!

I highly recommend Resurgent Sports Rehab. I've just finished a 1.5 month course of therapy with Kerri Kramer to help with some tendon problems in both ankles due to running overuse. Kerri has been dedicated to getting me back out running as quickly as possible. She is knowledgeable in making an evaluation/diagnosis, and she is practical in providing exercise and running-form solutions. I appreciate that she takes ownership of my problem; I feel that she is fully invested in my succeeding. If I were to have another injury, I would return without hesitation.

I am a runner and CrossFitter who has been to numerous places for PT, but none of them compare to the experience I have had with Michael at Resurgent. Normally in a one hour session you're lucky if you get to spend 15 minutes with your physical therapist before being passed off to an assistant who may or may not watch to make sure you are properly doing your exercises. At Resurgent your PT is with you for the entire session. I feel like I have had quicker results and I have learned how to keep my issues from happening again. As an athlete and a coach I highly recommend Michael or any of the

The physical training and fitness/training staff work closely together, allowing your can design your individual or group workouts with expert medical advice to avoid future problems (or manage chronic but treatable situations). Thanks to Fast Track I have a head start on springtime outdoor cycling, golf, and triathlon season.

I liked getting my physical therapy done here- they give you personalized, one-on-one treatment. You always get your treatment from a physical therapist (not a PT assistant) and you're never just left to do exercises on your own. It's clean, well equipped, and never too crowded. Plus the staff is great!
The only issue is that they're out of network. It would be my first choice, if that wasn't the case.

I 100% believe that you won't find a more dedicated, professional, and talented staff than those you'll find at Fast Track. While Meg is my girl:) the other therapists there are awesome as well. Meg is determined to help you to prevent or "fix" any issues that you might be experiencing! I sure wish they had an office in the Reston/Herndon area...hint, hint!
