In 1979, Kenny Dodd began setting water meters for the county water department, where he was later hired as manager. He expanded his business to septic tank and field line installation and then later added backhoe and trenching work, dirt work services, land clearing and building roads. During the early years of Dodd Construction, dynamite was frequently used for demolition projects.
Some of the company's more widely known projects include the ground work for the ROC (Recreational Outreach Center), the groundwork for Centre Elementary School, an addition to the Centre Motel, and the groundwork for Danny's Builders Supply in Centre. Dodd Construction also assisted with the groundwork for KTH in Leesburg.

We hired Doug Dodd and his team of experts to remodel our Guest Bath and Master bath. The guest bath was just an update with new tub, flooring, and tile.
The master bath was a complete remodel... taking walls out, installing a new wall and door where pony wall previously existed. Redoing the plumbing and electrical to install/relocate a double vanity, medicine caps and lights. Also involved swapping where the previous shower and toilet were located resulting in the need to reconfigure the stack.
It also involved removing popcorn ceilings and retexturing/painting the entire space.

I stumbled upon Doug and his team via Nextdoor as others in my area had used his services in the past for a similar project. Doug and his team were very professional, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. They worked long hours and weekends to finish the project. They made me feel like a part of the team and worked together. Doug will be the only person that I will use moving forward for any additional projects. Dodd construction just finished our basement and we are thrilled with how it turned out - especially the custom barn door. Doug, the owner, was reliable, hard working, and had excellent communication throughout the process. He helped achieve our vision for our new space while working within our budget. Doug's team was wonderful, professional, and courteous. They finished the job faster than initially estimated and on budget. Dodd Construction just finished another project for me. They originally completed my master bath remodel last spring, I was impressed with their work so hired them again this summer to revamp my living room fireplace as well as numerous other improvements including painting my kitchen, replacing all my interior doors as well as changing out all of my electrical sockets and light switches. Since I have numerous home improvements I want to do Mr. Dodd worked with me to figure out which improvements fit within my current budget. I will definitely hire them again when I decide to complete my next round
