A s Binghamton's Unique Photographer, I am the sole Certified Professional Photographer who holds also the degree of Master of Photography, not only in here in Binghamton, but in Broome County and beyond. Well trained, experienced, creative, accomplished and, for your safety, insured, I create works of photographic art that are affordable.

In this website you will find fine-art portraits of people and animals, audition images for dancers and fitness, and architectural studies. The images do well as fine art prints that are framed traditionally, large canvases that look like paintings, or modern-style prints in acrylic, or on glass, wood or aluminum.

I met my husband Robert in 1990 at a small conference for economists in Middlebury College, Vermont. We were both academics, Robert a well known economic statistician and I an historian of economics. We talked economics, but Robert talked most about his black and white photography, his darkroom, and Ansel Adams.
In the age of digital cameras, many people in our region will offer to do your portrait for a fee. How do you choose between the many advertised photographers? Act as if you are choosing a hair colorist or an electrician. You know that the beautician and the electrician who are licensed know what they are doing.
Classic portraits in modern photography follow the principles that you see in the portraits of old-by Rembrandt, Rubens, Hals, Vermeer, and so on. The painters knew how to best light and position the subjects in respect to the light so that their pictures were flattering representations. My portraits too use the classical lighting for one reason: That is the best way for me to reveal my subject's character in a powerful illuminating manner.
With coordinated color and careful posing I plan to link the individuals together to form a meaningful whole. Potential clients, please note: the colors that we agree during the consultation would work for the portrait should be the colors you wear for the portrait session.

If everyone but one person shows up for the session wearing blue as we agreed and one person arrives wearing red, the portrait will not come out as aesthetically pleasing as would otherwise be the case. Some clients ask to break-down the group into smaller units, such as mother with daughters only, and daughters on their own, and everyone plans to have a copy of images where they appear.
Pet Photography has its occupational hazards. I fall in love with the pets. In studio I shoot pets along the same principle as people. The big difference is that the light stands are lower and the props are pet toys instead of, say, a desk or a book. In 2019 I entered a portrait of a cat into the International Photographic Competition of Professional Photographers of America, which accepted the portrait into their annual collection.

Only provides prices if you set up a "site visit". Sorry but this is poor business practices. She is the only person who refused to give their prices over the phone. Poor customer service, look elsewhere.
