Services
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is an international association of more than 36,000 veterinary care providers who treat companion animals. Established in 1933, AAHA is well-known among veterinarians and pet owners for its high standards in veterinary practices and quality pet care. AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada.
A diagnosis of cancer can be devastating. Juneau Veterinary Hospital will partner with you to help your animal friend fight this illness, through surgery, chemotherapy, or a combination of both. We use many of the same chemotherapy drugs human oncologists do, but dogs do not generally suffer the kind of side effects, such as hair loss, that human cancer patients may experience.
Serum allergy testing - This identifies the environmental and food allergens your animal may be allergic to. Allergen specific immunotherapy - After the serum allergy test is performed, a unique allergen serum will be made for each individual dog based on their test results. These allergen serum will be injected by you, at home.
There are times when a physical examination alone isn't enough to determine what's wrong with your pet. Juneau Veterinary Hospital has the latest technology available to assist the doctor in making a diagnosis and beginning appropriate treatment as quickly as possible. By having these diagnostic services available under our own roof, we can begin appropriate treatment of your pet promptly.
At Juneau Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to provide your pet with the best possible veterinary health care at every stage of his or her life. Veterinary laboratory testing is utilized for health screenings, pre-anesthetic evaluations, and as an aid in diagnosing illnesses.

Just tried to get my dog in, she has an ear infection I believe and extremely stressed and uncomfortable. Got told, oh too bad we can't get her in for a couple of months from now. Oh, so obviously they really couldn't care less about my pet too let the animal suffer until it suits them. This is totally disgusting and you can bet I will never take my pet to this veterinarian or recommend them to anyone. Once again how disgusting.

At the time I went in I was young and got my first pet. The person working at the desk was not friendly and told me "I don't like cats" Good for you? Why even work at a vet clinic then?
I had the worse experience ever and will never go there.
I'm not sure if they lady is working there now, but I hope that place has gotten better.

If there are other options available, go there. The staff at Juneau Vet Hospital is overwhelmed. They rarely, if ever return calls or call back as they promise. I have always had to call them. My dog has prescriptions that are filled monthly and have been so for over a year, yet each time I call its a surprise to them and they don't have the necessary pills in stock (common allergy medication). Dr. New rushes through appointments and doesn't act as though he has time to answer your questions. He flat out refused to look at cysts on my dogs feet, despite my asking several times during the apppintment

Dr. New is an excellent veterinarian.
He has amazing skills with animals, somehow managing to calm even the most anxious of rescue pets.
Dr. New seems to appreciate organized pet-owners. He is polite, answers questions patiently and respectfully. His office appears to have quite a few patients, yet Dr. New does not seem rushed and gives full attention to the patient on hand.
His staff are all friendly and helpful.
The prices are reasonable. Keep in mind that if you visit a big fancy new clinic, the cost of the building will be reflected in the patient's bill.

The office assistants do their best. I will also say that Dr. Nu was good with making my dog comfortable. However, it is people not pets that make appointments and pay bills. Dr Nu lied to me about an appointment time, when his office assistants had already confirmed the times. Had he been honest and slightly respectful with his approach,I would of had more patience. He also did not remove a benign lump from my dog when he was already under for dental surgery. My dog does not do well with anesthesia, and scheduling a second surgery did not feel in the best interest of my dog. Finally, their

I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. The Vet who works there is a joke. Not only was he super grouchy but he refuses to help patients unless it's convenient for him. If you don't make an appointment and pay he won't talk to you, even if you call with a question or concern. The receptionist told me I need to "make an appointment" because the vet wouldn't answer a quick concern I had. I found that very rude. The clinic is also super gross. It has a musty odor to it and the patient rooms are old and kinda gross looking. I would never drop my pet off there

This clinic prescribed Revolution for my dog in person, which worked wonderfully, and has shipped it to me in Oregon 3 Times since its not available here. Its the only flee med that works for him. We have tried all the main brands, and under new management or whatever it may be they refuse to honor the agreement we had with the previous vet. Even though I've been in the system. Now my dog is suffering and they don't care at all. Thought you wanted to protect animals and not make them suffer, especially when I have the money and especially when You have the means to help...

I can't say I was too fond of them. First, they lost the nice elizabethan collar I brought with me for my dog and gave her a crappy one instead. They aren't also open to seeing your dog late in the day right before they close even if your dog had an accident. Twice I was in a situation where my dog was injured (once was a laceration and a dog bite was another) and I called them while they were still open but they wouldn't see her. I had to wait until the next day. They also said it in such a way that it came across to me as if they didn't care.
Having said all that, I
