Great service, good food, casual atmosphere, and fairly clean. Overall a positive experience but short of 5 stars. Our occasion was a birthday dinner so the minor mishaps weren't worth fussing about and spoiling the evening for others. Most plates were finished and the service was excellent so it was the finishing touches and some personal preferences that were missed. The calamari appetizer came with marinara instead of the listed garlic aioli and had no pickled peppers. Not even a lemon wedge or green garnish to liven up the plating. My husband and I visited American Lobster for dinner on New Year’s Eve. We decided to try it off the advice of a friend who loves the restaurant. I have to say I was concerned going into the night considering the negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I both had the French Onion Soup as an appetizer which was served hot and very tasty. My husband enjoyed the Surf and Turf for an entree and noted that the steak was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Bourbon Salmon which was also cooked to perfection. The vegetables, starches and salads were delicious as well.

Our waitress was fantastic. the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The problem was the food. My appetizer was the crab and spinach dip in a bread bowl . It was served in a skillet, no crab there was spinach, artichoke and a watery consistency of i don't know what. It was served with chips no bread bowl! The entrees were overcooked and dried out. Shrimp and Lobster linguine was in a thick butter sauce with 5 small tiny pieces of lobster. The chicken Parmesan was a huge piece of chicken over a huge pile of pasta with burnt cheese and a sauce that was horrible to say the least. The lobster tail was
