Paul is extremely ethical. The attorney for the other side attempted to manipulate things to drive the legal fees up and Paul flat-out refused to participate with that. He’s very good at what he does.
I especially like that he “runs block” for his divorce clients so you don’t end up nearly as upset or stressed-out as you would with other attorneys. And he’s extremely reasonable with his fees. Highly recommend!

I was so stressed out over life. The pandemic, going through a divorce, and now I had to hire a lawyer, and there are alot of lawyers to choose from. Even the process of hiring the right person was stressful. That was until i called Paul S. Kowal. Talked to Paul and It was all good. Amazing service, the price was very fair and reasonable, ( in comparison to all of the other quotes I was getting ). Very professional, always responded quickly to any question or concerns I had. Hands down the best experience I have had dealing with a lawyer, and usually i dont really care for lawyers too much. But

I hired Paul in 2019 to represent me in my divorce, after failing to make sense of it all on my own. I'm happy I hired him. Paul explained everything along the way, sometimes multiple times because of my lack of knowledge. I never felt like it bothered him to come up with different ways of explaining things to me. Paul had my best interest through the entire process. He forethought so many things that prevented delays later. Paul put details into our divorce paperwork that had me thanking him numerous times for including, even post divorce! Is Paul cheap? I don't think so. But he was worth every

I am Tom A’s ex wife, Paul was my attorney not Tom Antishin's. There was a substantial financial error made by our mediators (not Paul) in regards to child support and it needed to be corrected for the final divorce settlement. Tom did not want to pay an attorney to review the legal documents. There was nothing underhanded happening, Paul was acting on my behalf as my attorney to protect my interests. Ultimately, Paul was trustworthy & easy to work, I would recommend him as a divorce attorney.

He took on our "mediated" divorce case, and tried to add language that would be advantageous to my ex, without actually being discussed in/during the mediation process. He was not transparent and needed to be called out before he explained certain things in the divorce agreement. As Katie Antishin mentioned he looked out for her best interests (Paul knowingly consulted with my ex when he knew I was paying half for the "mediation" services), when I was told that Paul was supposed to just process the paperwork. I paid half for the "mediated" services. I would not recommend this attorney for mediation

One of the best attorneys in Macomb County. Knows the law and will fight for your family. Very honest about the likelihood of your case, so he will be open about the best scenario, as well as the approximate costs. I felt he wasn't practicing law to make money, but instead was practicing in order to influence the best outcome for children and families.
