When I was 7, I fell in love. My love for this craft led me to graduate cum laude with a bachelor's degree in photography from Kent State University. After graduating and moving with my husband to San Diego, I discovered a few other things that inspired me, too: real people, new places, and capturing moments of beauty whenever I could.
As a photographer, there are so many things that inspire me. It may be that perfect shaft of light, a moment of pure emotion, or simply a new horizon. Most often, though, we are inspired by the connection we feel with our clients as we help turn a small moment into a memory that lasts.

My goal is to make sure you feel relaxed and confident throughout the process, resulting in magnificent photos.
Be sure to tell me a date range you are wanting to schedule, and how soon you need your photos back by. After 20 years of shooting weddings I have *mostly* retired from it, but not completely. If you are having a small event, and you are more focused on the day and the love of your life, than the typical wedding day stress, then I would love to talk.

If you have ever considered photos of yourself in any capacity, Susie is absolutely amazing! She was empathetic, cared about how I was feeling, and did so great finding an artistic and photogenic way to capture my body. I went in feeling timid, shaky, and sweaty. I came out feeling really beautiful and sexy. Tess, her makeup artist, and Susie took away my anxiety bit my bit and I am embarrassed to admit, I cried when I saw my photos. Susie was so sweet, sat back, seemed to genuinely care about my response to her photos, and was there to offer a caring hand, and hug to show me her beautiful heart

Most amazing boudoir shoot. I didn't know what to expect or how I would feel naked in front of a camera!! Susie made me feel so incredibly comfortable. Not once did I parade around naked, or feel like I was showing too much. She had me dancing and moving and laughing. And then I saw the pictures. I had to ask her if it was even me. They are absolutely amazing and I still look at them to this day when I am feeling insecure. I'm so happy I did it, and I would do it again. (but only with Susie)

My wedding is not for another eight months but I knew I wanted Susie as my photographer from the moment I got engaged. Her pictures and her style is absolutely amazing and so on point. Since I reached out to her and booked her to work with me she has been nothing but helpful!! I have asked her so many questions about the photos and even just weddings in general and she has been responsive and helpful in all aspects of the words. We had a wonderful experience with Susie Linquist Photography, and would highly recommend her services. We booked her associate photographer, Katherine, who was such a pleasure to work with from engagement photos, to walking the Wedding venue area finding locations, to the experience the day of and the photos we received! We also got a second photographer - I highly suggest it. She was able to get additional photos when we had things going in at the same time in two different locations. We also purchased additional time.

It was such a pleasure to work with Susie! This was my first time ever for a photo shoot and I cannot wait to work with her again. With her make up artist, Amy Kennison, doing my hair and make up and Susie's amazing eye for detail and talent, I was on cloudy nine. I would highly recommend her for any pictures you may need. She is very professional, creative, and friendly. :)

I will use no other photographer other than Susie for my important life moments! My boudoir photo shoot was an important personal experience that she actively engaged in and truly understood. Her professionalism and exuberant demeanor made me feel at ease, so that we could work together to get the most beautiful and flattering photos I have ever had taken. I planned my wedding remotely, and hired Susie without meeting her. When we were working on finding a photographer, Susie made it a point to chat over the phone, which none of the other photographers even offered to do. Susie was also flexible with adjusting our package to accommodate our needs. When we met, on my wedding day, she was warm, calm, and professional. She put me, my husband, and our families at ease throughout the entire day. She was able to capture the entire day which was especially important because we decided not to hire a video-grapher.
