I've always been inspired by the power of photography, a frozen moment in time that can silently tell a story, connect people, and stir up emotions. One frame at a time, photographs help us capture life- and our unique stories. As a visual storyteller, I don't seek perfection in people. Instead my goal is to capture the essence of my clients with authentic portraits of real life.
I like to let my family sessions flow naturally, capturing your family as you engage with each other's genuine personalities, and allowing the children explore, play, and be themselves. We'll start with a few traditional family portraits, but then the rest of our time will be spent having fun and capturing the authentic emotions and connections of your loved ones with a playful and authentic approach.

Whether you're a new parent or seasoned pro, every pregnancy is an incredible experience filled with ups and downs, but mostly excitement for the adventure that awaits! Many times everyone is focused on preparing for your little one's arrival- it's all about the baby, baby, baby!
Before you know it, that little newborn will be sitting up on their own, crawling, standing, walking, sprout little baby teeth, and all the while developing a charming little personality! Baby milestone sessions take place year-round, typically outdoors (as the weather permits).

Erica at Lad + Lass is an absolute joy to work with. We booked our newborn session with her and felt totally at ease with her in our home handling our tiny 6lb. son. She truly is a baby whisperer and her work will make your heart melt! Our shoot lasted around 4 hours and by the time she left I feel like I had made a friend. We recently went back for a Holiday mini session and it was a game changer! We were in and out in around 20 minutes and had photos that looked like we had posed for hours. I feel fortunate that she was referred to me and I look forward to working with her more in the future

It was awesome working with Erika. She was very friendly and definitely made you feel comfortable. She did our maternity and new born session. Both pictures turned out amazing. Editing process does take a while and you only get to select 15 free photos and for any extra you have to pay extra. Which is a little frustrating after all the money you pay already. Overall, I would go to her again since she is such an amazing person and photographer!

Thee BEST photographer I could ever ask for! In addition to her being so welcoming and kind, she was on point with everything, and made things SO comfortable and easy, even with tackling 3 kids and a mama who was 7 days postpartum. I had such an amazing experience with her! And I couldn’t have asked for better photos! Amazing quality to say the least! I’m looking forward to working with her from now on and continuing into the future. I couldn’t have asked for better Maternity/Newborn/Family pictures. Thank you again!!!

Erika did an amazing job. My baby boys newborn pictures are everything I could have imagined. No fault of Erika’s or anyone’s but I do wish we had a couple more prop/sets but baby boy just wasn’t having it anymore. I couldn’t be more happy with the photos of our family and of baby! I would definitely recommend Erika and will using her for future photos to come!

Erika is so patient and kind! She always gets amazing photos and we have 3 young kids who can be stinkers about getting their picture taken. How does she do that?! My daughter was so grumpy the entire session this summer, yet in the photos you would never know! I’d recommend Erika to anyone and will be back for more sessions in the future!
