Well, hello there! I'm so glad you found me. I'm Heather, and I'm the face behind the camera at Flying Gull Photography. Based out of Eagle Mountain, Utah, I specialize in capturing timeless, true-to-color photographs of the special moments in your life - weddings, families, newborns, and much more.

I live in Utah with my extremely gregarious Alaskan husband, energetic oldest son, stubborn middle daughter, and unceasingly cheerful baby boy (and one on the way!).These people are the reason I picked up my first Nikon DSLR. They light up my life, they are my reason for laughing a hundred times a day, and they have taught me more about love than anything in this world.

We absolutely love getting our family photos taken by Heather!! My favorite part about the photo shoot is that Heather knows exactly what she’s doing! She is so great at helping you know where to stand, and how to form great poses. She looks for the best spots and makes sure to get you a variety of positions and locations. She is so good at helping everyone feel comfortable and happy for the best photos. Heather is also super careful to make sure you get exactly what you want out of the photo shoot, whether that’s candid photos or poses with the best smiles. I would recommend her to anyone

Heather came recommended to us from another photographer. We felt very comfortable and relaxed with her and we got some spectacular pictures. Heather captured the dynamic of our family and brought our so much joy in our little one, whose smile was natural and beautiful. We did a mini outdoor shoot and the poppies looked spectacular. Our only problem is choosing one picture to frame, I love so many! I have no hesitation in recommending Flying Gull Photography.

Heather was great to work with. She captured the photos I wanted- and I am pretty specific in my requests! She was friendly, great with my kids and so quick on getting our photos to us. Heather was amazing. We were in a bind about a week before our wedding and she was able to do it for a great price. She was super easy to work with, worked well with the groups, and was FAST with the pictures and adjusting the groups. At lots of weddings people have to stand around for a long time and get super frustrated, but Heather eliminated all of that. On top of that, we got the finished photographs back and they were beautiful. You won't regret working with her. I highly recommend her.
