So what is Acupuncture? It's science; clinically successful and proven for over 3,000 years. Acupuncture is just one modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and involves the insertion of painless, filament-like needles into specific points on the body. Our bodies are fundamentally composed of energy, known to us in Traditional Chinese terms as "Qi" (pronounced "Ch-eee").
In the Western world, we accept a similar idea via a law of physics Einstein developed. This law states that everything is made up. On previous pages you may have read some of the parallels to the Western perspective on how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can be interpreted. It is critical to understand that TCM is a complex, complete medical system that honestly, looks nothing like Western Medicine in.

Our clinic is driven by the philosophy that any medical experience is about getting well and should be experienced as a communicative process. It should also be a collaboration between all the people involved in your treatment(s). We approach each individual by spending a great deal of time getting to know the important facets of your health history and life circumstances to develop an efficient and effective treatment plan.

A fundamental premise of TCM is that the body has "Channels", mapped much like the pathways of our circulatory and nervous system in Western medicine.

Erin is fantastic! I was new and quite nervous to acupuncture. However, Erin is such a great educator that I soon had better understanding of what was going on with my body and how acupuncture and Chinese Medicine could help. And it did!! Now, I go every few months to maintain my overall health. Thank you Erin!
