During all those years of professional practice, we've repaired and installed thousands of residential, commercial and industrial roofs, gutters, and skylights! Most usually a residential roofing lasts from 15 to 20 years, which means that a major percentage of US houses has its roofs nearing the "end of times".
Most roofing warranties offered in the market today are "limited lifetime" warranties that cover the shingles only and prorate after 10 years. For peace of mind for our customers, RoofTek has achieved the highest level of installer certifications with 2 of the largest shingle manufacturers in North America (Owens Corning and GAF).
Certified roofing contractors use better products, better practices - and are held accountable by the product manufacturers to do each job the right way. In return for jumping through these hoops and being accountable to the manufacturers - we can provide our clients better warranties and more protection.
About 10 years ago most major shingle manufacturers changed their warranties from 30, 40 or 50 year warranties to limited lifetime warranties. Like earlier warranties these warranties pro-rate from 100% coverage in the first year to only 20% in year 50. To "sweeten" the warranty manufacturer's cover both labor & material for the first 10 years, after which only material is covered.

Horrible Experience. Our shingles were changed to the ones we DID not want without our authorization. After installing the shingles we did not want they informed us of structural issues of our roof and due to that they cancelled the gutter and siding installation. We asked to get our shingles replaced by the ones we paid for and they wanted us to… pay for a second round of shingles plus labor (again) for a mistake the company made. If a custumer wants a white fence and a contract is signed….should the company install a grey fence because it feels like it will go better with the color
