Melissa Marino is a photographer and portrait artist located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, and is known as Orange County's fine art photographer. Melissa has a background as a pediatric speech pathologist, which gives her years of experience and a unique insight into the minds of children - this can be seen in her ability to connect with even the most energetic and self-directed children.
This portrait session takes place in our tranquil studio location and highlights your beautiful little one in a variety of props and setups. When included, mother, father, and siblings are perfectly posed for incredible family images. All of our newborn portrait packages include all set up, accessories, props and wraps/outfits needed.
Capture the beauty of childhood with our children's portrait session. These sessions can include a single child or a sibling group, and will contain a perfect mix of candid and posed images. With a background in child psychology and over 15 years experience working with children with special needs, we know every trick in the book to get beautiful images of any child.

Melissa makes you feel comfortable around her the second you meet her! She has an amazing way with kids and makes them want to smile. My daughter loves having her pictures taken by Melissa and asks me all the time when she can go again! Never disappointed in the quality of her work!! And it is a quicker return time frame then a few other photographers I've used in the past.

I have worked with Melissa many times. Her personality is absolutely amazing. She knows just how to work with kids (especially shy ones...my daughter can be tricky!) The quality of her images are unmatched! If you are looking for newborn photos, maternity, family, or something fun (princess, glitter, holiday) you will NOT regret going with Melissa!

I will do my very best to explain the magic that is Melissa Marino Portrait Artistry, but I’m not sure that I will be able to accurately describe the wonderful experiences we’ve had with her. Yes, experienceS- so we didn’t just get lucky one time. She is as amazing as you have heard from everyone, and there’s a reason why she’s voted the best photographer in the county. Melissa only requires you to do one thing: show up. She may ask you to wear the same color matching shirt as your significant other, and while I know that can be actual torture, she provides emotional support and guidance

We had a wonderful experience with Melissa! Not only was she absolutely wonderful with our family (3 kids; 7, 4, 2 years old) she made them feel comfortable and got some amazing beautiful shots. She was quick and knew just the tricks to get the most genuine smiles. She even offered and help me pick out coordinating outfits for our entire family. It was a great experience and I’m so happy to have wonderful professional photos of my family. We highly recommend Melissa Photography!

If I could give Melissa 10 starts, I would. She’s is highly recommended around town and I finally had a chance this past holiday season to see why. Her work is phenomenal and worth every penny! It’s so hard to get my toddler to sit still but this woman knows what she’s doing. Our family photos came out absolutely beautiful. If you’re looking for top notch photography, Melissa is definitely the one to call!
